Each of the consignors to this sale are dedicated Charolais breeders with a like minded goal: to produce and sell cattle that work efficiently for the commercial and purebred cattlemen. Here is a lead off female if I’ve ever seen one! Slotted for our sale in 2021, this female through no fault of her own ended up open. She is a female with a pedigree that will catch the eye of most Canadian cattlemen. When we started getting serious about putting DanG Charolais on the map in the Charolais cattle business, we purchased some embryos from Prairie Cove Charolais in order to kick start our breeding program, this cow is a result of those embryos. Her sire is the performance bull, Pastor and her dam is the infamous PCC 314A donor female. 314A offspring have improved the herds of Charolais breeders across the country and we look forward to 315F doing that for you. To ‘sweeten’ the deal, we have serviced 315F to SVY Trust and she is due in early January. A mating which we are very excited for! doesn’t need much introduction to Charolais breeders in Canada. For the past few years, we have used the Amabec Cupid bull as a cleanup sire after AI. We have been very happy with the calves; they are high growth, easy calving and have good dispositions. These two bred females are so much alike we thought they should come in the ring together with the option to purchase one or double the money and take both.

Jesabella was toted around last year as a show heifer calf and made many friends across the province including the Charolais Heifer Calf Champion at Premier/Fallsview Jackpot Show judged by Lee and Dawn Wilson. She is feminine headed, square hipped and strides out very correctly. Her mother is a cornerstone female in our herd that we purchased from Kyle Stevenson out of the Royal Elite Sale in 2016. Juicy is a moderate heifer that carries herself well with a rocksolid pedigree. This heifer goes back to the Bonnie line, similar to our other bred heifer. Combining the predictability of that female line with Cedardale Zeal and SVY Grizzly that have both been cornerstone sires in our program. This girl is just a junior yearling but, is not too far behind our senior yearlings in the keeper pen. She has been exposed to Annuroc Duramax 104J from April 10Aug 15 2022. Goldie is a daughter of a bull we raised here and used on some heifers, which resulted in excellent calving-ease that comes from the sire’s side through the Cedardale Zeal bull which never hurts. Just a young junior heifer but will mature into a powerhouse of a female for sure in her future. We sold her dam through the sale last year as a bred cow to Kirlene Cattle in Brighton. Every good purebred sale needs a fancy show heifer prospect, this female is that in spades. She is long sided, level through her hip structure and lays nicely into her shoulder. Her pedigree needs little introduction, Firewater has revolutionized the Charolais breed in North America with his style, muscle shape and udder improvement traits. This calf goes back to my lead cow JSR 46A who’s out of the champion Victoria cow family at Saunders Charolais. We went back to Brent last year and brought in JSR Huron to follow up and he delivered. This heifer calf born in February has caught up to the January pack.
