Clever K9’s
on manners with dogs. We are open until 9pm 7 days a week except holidays allowing for late pick ups. No hidden fees. Individual suites for both boarding and daycare dogs. We have a great balance of play and rest for dogs so that there are able to play at their free will and are not forced to interact. Clever K9s is most proud of our customers who have stuck through a lot of changes in the last 18 months.
Over the last 18 months Clever has reconfigured it's building to make it have a better flow for customers, staff and dogs. We have Clever K9s was started in 2005 as a training facility worked hard on with a small retail area off of KK in Darboy. In 2007 being more energy Clever K9s moved to it's current location on Crooks efficient by closing Ave. in Kaukauna. At it's current location we started out in our kennel area with 1 groomer, a small retail area, training and some so we can heat/ daycare. We are now a full boarding facility with 72 cool only the areas that need to be when our building is kennels, 5 groomers, a full retail store, a training not staffed. We also just started an initiative to greatly program that has 9 trainers and a daycare program reduce our paper usage. that is top notch. Last year we also started boarding cats. We now have 21 employees and a building that is Change of ownership has been a big challenge for close to 17,000 square feet dedicated to dogs. Adam Clever K9s and it's staff. Even though the structure of Zschaechner purchased Clever K9s in May of 2014 Clever K9s has remained the same, other operational after working here since December of 2007. He started changes are things that staff has had to adjust too. We out working part time on weekend nights and have had some staff move on to other careers but also eventually taking over the evening shift 5 days a week. have had some great new staff come aboard. Going In 2013 he became a full time employee doing from co-worker to owner is also a very large adaptation afternoon daycare and the evening shift, as well as for everyone. Shortly after my takeover I got ill and was building maintenance. Adam has a background in out for many months before I could come back full customer service, territory management, and offset time. This caused us to have a rough start but the staff printing. did very well during my absence holding down the fort with very limited guidance. Some things that make us stand out above the rest..... Clever K9s has no plans on expanding physically. We Our eval process is how we accept dogs into boarding/ currently have 72 kennels which only house one dog daycare not by the breed. We do not breed each unless there are family dogs that prefer to stay discriminate. together in which case we have accommodations for Both boarding those situations. Our philosophy is not to cram dogs in and daycare every corner. We provide the best care possible to dogs are each dogs and will not overbook in any aspect of the included in the business. In the future we hope to increase our comdaycare munity involvement. The Chamber of Commerce and program with no Kaukauna Rec department has helped us get started in additional fees. this goal. We also hope to grow our retail sales and During daycare/ increase awareness to the community that we carry boarding we are dog/cat food and pet supplies. always working
