Jami enriches and saves lives impacted by mental illness and distress in the Jewish community.

Whether people need a reassuring conversation, expert advice on navigating mental health services, recovery-focused services, an advocate by their side, someone to speak to with lived experience, or long-term professional support, Jami ensures that people living with mental health problems, and their families, get the support they need, when they need it.

A year after their first child was born, Adam’s wife, Amy, had a mental health crisis. In desperation, the couple turned to Jami for help. Amy was given immediate support but what surprised Adam was that, as Amy’s carer, he was offered support too. Like Amy, Adam received one-to-one sessions with a Jami support worker. He then joined one of Jami’s carers’ groups. He says: “It’s been really cathartic. It’s a chance to listen to and support each other.” Adam further adds: “We both have people that we can speak to now – and this is so important. I don’t know how I or my family would have survived without Jami.”
