Scholarship ball

The Hill Cooperative Youth Services Inc was founded in 1972. Our mandate to help young people develop into productive and health adults has resulted in many successful projects.

Enclosed is an introduction from HCYS 21 Futures requesting support from you for our Scholarship Ball. We created the Scholarship Ball in response to our graduating seniors who will attend college in the fall of 2001.

Through the Scholarship program, our young people will be able to offset some of the expenses that they will have will tending the college of their choice. They will be able to pay for books, tuition, room and board and any other expenses that they acquire while attending college.

21 Futures is one of the programs that meet HCYS mandates. 21 Futures mission is to develop self-enhancement and build self-esteem for middle school and high school students. 21 Futures is an educational and recreational program designed to keep teens off the streets. We offer our members a wide rage of educational as well as recreational activities such as: PSAT/SAT PREPARATION DRAMA COOKING TUTORIAL FUNDRAISING SPORTS Work Shops Promote: ALCOHOL/SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION COMMUNITY SERVICE NFTE (BUSINESS ENTREPRENEURSHIP) HEALTH CIVICS ADOLECENT DECISION MAKING The demand for our program has become so great, we have had to expand our reach, and as a result, our funding efforts. We are asking you to purchase a Scholarship Ball ticket.

We believe that through programs like 21 Futures we have a great impact on our members long-term, both in their personal lives and in their over all health and well being.
