Where The Boys Are is an outreach initiative of The Village Well of Harlem United. We're takin' it to the streets to provide free, anonymous HIV testing, intensive outreach services, counseling, social services, medical referrals, and safe-sex education. For information on this and other Village Well programs, call Miguel Ratti at 212.803.2880 ext. 897. Harlem United Community AIDS Center, Inc. provides housing, health care, and related services to people living with HIV/AIDS, who are often homeless and struggle with substance abuse and mental illness. We have a single mission: to provide one hundred percent access to care and obtain zero disparity in health outcomes caused by racial and economic barriers. As such, we provide health care, supportive housing, and prevention education in a spiritually nurturing milieu. Services are provided in a community-minded setting, giving rise to opportunities for multiple interactions and conversations between members and the staff. Whether in a traditional treatment setting or over a shared meal, members and staff establish relationships built on mutual respect and trust, thereby creating a safe and healing community.
