Areya loves the outdoors and enjoys the sunny weather California brings. When she is not busy modeling or acting, she enjoys her time dancing, singing, swimming, hiking, ridding bikes, roller skating, and playing soccer. In addition she just took up the sport of basketball. Her and her team were able to play at half time during the women’s SDSU college basketball game in January 2014. Not only does California have the most beautiful weather it also has some of the most enjoyable places to visit. Areya lives minutes away from the beaches and she is only an hour and a half away from her favorite place; Disneyland. Her and her family like to go there quite often with their yearly passes. Some other places that she loves to go with her family are Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm, and Hollywood of course. Because of Areya’s modeling and acting she spends a lot of time traveling to Hollywood. She likes to visit the walk of fame and hopes that one day her star will be there. Living in San Diego county allows Areya to visit some of the most beautiful places. One of them is Balboa park where you can find just about every museum. This is where “Attitude" by Lady X, was filmed. This was a music video that Areya stared in that focused on the horrible ongoing issue of bullying. The video was important to Areya, since one of her goals in life is to be a positive role model to kids of all ages. She has started to achieve her goal by receiving the Wilson's Peace Pale of the Year award in 2012 and 2013 at her school.

She loves to travel while modeling and acting but her heart will always be in California. Even being as busy as she is, she makes sure to find the time to participate in the community by joining in on different walks that help raise awareness and funding for many causes. Yazlene, AKA Yazzie (born October 8th) is a spunky 6 year old who lives in a suburb about 40 miles outside of Chicago. Currently she participates in Girl Scouts as a Daisy and competes in both live and online pageants. She represents both Yayaa's Reflections Royalty and Spreading Sunshine for the state of Illinois. And has dreams to become a doctor or an artist. She enjoys art and draws really well for her age. She also loves dancing, singing, competing in pageants, girl scouts and being, as she likes to put it, a fashionista. She is currently an only child, but has a numerous amount of cousins. She loves being around people and making them laugh and smile in any way that she can. She is very helpful and very friendly. She loves helping her mommy out at work every time she visits. And enjoys sharing anything she has with her mom's co workers. As of now her daddy is currently in the army and deployed to Kuwait. She misses him dearly as she is a daddy's girl and has sent him girl scout cookies and little things just to make him feel as he if was still home.
Yazlene is very selfless and enjoys giving to others when they don't have something she does. It bothers her when she sees disasters both natural and man made. She likes donating items to places such as the Amvets association. She also works on raising money for different causes. Like this year she will be participating in Jump Rope For Heart and a pageant for the Shriner's Hospital. She also likes to make both girls and women know that they are beautiful. And is part of the Pretty Brown Movement. An organization that encourages beauty and empowerment amongst all beautiful brown girls. There are many reasons why Yazlene loves living in Illinois. Being close to Chicago is a perk. Chicago has a rich history and is full of life. With a beautiful lake front, museums, a long standing baseball rivalry between two great teams, amazing shopping locations and much more. Visiting Chicago is also a great experience every time you go no matter the day. But let’s not forget the city she lives in. Yazlene is from a town called Joliet. And while not as well known as Chicago, it has it's history as well. Well known for The Joliet Prison, which was featured in both The Blues Brothers and Prison Break. Joliet also has some more wonderful gems. You can catch a show downtown at The Rialto Square theater, play a slot or two at either Harrah's or Hollywood Casino, watch a ballgame that the Joliet Slammers play, catch Nascar at the Chicagoland Speedway, or maybe even pretend that Joliet Central High School is a castle. There's always something to see or do around town. Illinois is a beautiful state. With it's many different landmarks both man made and natural, such as Rt. 66, Starved Rock, Adler Planetarium, the I & M canal, Carson, Pirie, Scott, and Company Store, the Mazon creek fossil beds, and so much more. We also have had four different presidents coming from Illinois, Ulysses S. Grant and Ronald Reagan; who was actually born and raised here. But more commonly known are Abraham Lincoln and Barack Obama. Illinois is also home to a city known as Metropolis. Yes, the home of Superman!! While a small town, it packs a big punch. A 15 foot bronze statue of Superman sits in the middle of Superman Square. It also has it's annual Superman celebration. Metropolis is home to Fort Massac State Park, the first state park of Illinois, and gives a beautiful view of the Ohio river. If that isn't enough for you, visit our lovely capital, Springfield. You could visit two of Springfield's best known parks, Carpenter Park or Washington Park as well as Botanical Gardens. Yazlene is very proud to be the Face Of Illinois for Shining Faces Children's Magazine. So come out and visit The Land Of Lincoln. There is never a dull moment.

Hi my name is Temprance but most people call me, Tempi. Thank you for all who voted for me to be your "Face of Missouri." I LOVE modeling and I've been doing it for a year now. I would love to take it further one day but for now I will do a little and continue enjoying being a toddler. My mama does my photos and I also have a great photographer who has been doing my photos since I was a baby and that is Olivia Andrew Photography. Why I love Missouri? I have lots of reasons. I have lived in Missouri with my family for almost 6 years. We moved from Michigan and that's where my family was originally from but I was born here 16 months ago, so this is all I know.
I noticed how friendly EVERYBODY is here. Neighbors constantly wave hi and bye they also always offer help with anything, even if you don't ask for it. When riding along in the car people you pass that you know and don't know always wave. If your out in your yard, people will wave or role down their window and say hi. We had a neighbor that used to bring us pies and make meals for us just because and she is very, very sweet. So caring, friendly, helpful people are here in Missouri. The weather, it's usually always beautiful here. This year has been the only exception. This has been the worse drawn out winter that people have seen in years. The summers however are hot and sunny, which I have no complaints about. My family and I are able to take mini vacations to places like Branson quit often, because the weather is always perfect in the summer. Although it did reach 100 degrees last summer for weeks in a row, I still love it. We can enjoy sports. I have two brothers; Brenden and Talan who are active in sports, so I can go and enjoy every game. We enjoy the water whether it be a water park, pool or lake. The climate is also good for photographers taking outdoor shoots. We are always doing something outdoors because of the beautiful weather here in Missouri. We live very close to one of the most popular tourists places around, Branson. Branson is a great spot for vacationing or just going there for the day with family, as we do often. You have places like: The Dixie Stampede, White Water, The Wax Museum, Ripple's Believe it Or Not, lots of shows, shopping, and great dining all in one place. We moved here to open our own business... Springfield Gold and Sliver Buyers which my dad runs with a couple of great employees. We also checked out the school system here for my brothers before we made it official. Which is another reason we love Missouri....the school system. This has been the best school my mom could hope for. The teachers are highly qualified and are the most caring teachers my mom has ever known. They really take the time to work with each student’s needs as individuals instead of a whole. That has been a huge success in our lives. They do not leave any child behind and they will work with any individual for as long as it takes to get them on track. My brother, is the perfect example. He has struggled all of second grade but they don't give up, they come up with new solutions and techniques to get him where he needs to be. We could not have asked for a better school system. These are a few of the reasons why I love Missouri. The only thing missing here in Missouri is my family from Michigan. I miss them everyday but stay in contact through phone and frequent visits. I hope one day you will get the chance to visit Missouri and see for yourself why this place is so great!

I'm proud to be a NJ girl. Why? It’s the best state in the nation, where everything is within walking distance, people are friendly , it’s the home of several national parks and one of the wealthiest counties in the nation. I love my state , it's wonderful place to live and go to school. I hear that people never stop talking about how great New Jersey is. Some of the most famous people have come from our state. Just to name a few ...Tom Cruise, Frank Sinatra , Bruce Springfield , Jon Bon Jovi, and many more. We rank in the top 10 of smartest states every year. In summer time I like to watch the sunrise on east coast, and watch it set on the west from our beautiful beaches and seaside boardwalk . Also my teacher always says NJ is great, because you can clime a mountain in the morning and swim in the ocean in the afternoon.
I was born a 7 years ago in Hamilton. I'm learning a lot of stuff about my hometown. For example the first people to live in Hamilton were the Lenni Lenape Indians, there were a peaceful group of people who worked and lived together. My town is residential community, some people make their living by farming grains, fruits and vegetables. That is my favorite place to go from school or with my family. In spring I buy some flowers with my mom to make our property beautiful, or pick fresh blueberries , strawberries or corn. In fall on Halloween I go on a field trip from my school to pick pumpkins. In December we get our Christmas tree there. There are many ways to have a fun in NJ, like going to parks and having a picnic, playing soccer and football , or tennis. Inn winter time my favorite activities are ice skating and sledding. We might be small, but we are mighty. We are home to Six Flags great adventure which holds the worlds largest and fastest roller coaster. Every girl love shopping. My parents take me to the mall all the time. I love to play dress up and wear high-heeled shoes. Shopping is my favorite thing to do. Justice is my favorite store and pizza is my favorite food. Most people in Jersey have respect for New York and Pennsylvania. We aren't trying to compete with them. We enjoy the large cities and they enjoy our clean sandy beaches. A lot of people move here for our public and private schools. My dream is going to Princeton University and becoming a successful young lady one day. Right now I'm doing everything I can to make my parents proud of me. I'm a Jersey girl living in a world full of dreams and possibilities. Last year I was chosen to be a State Finalist in the National American Miss pageant, and represented my state of NJ, where I won 2nd place in the Top Model Search optional. I was happy to have had the most amazing opportunities to travel and represent NJ, and make so many friends. I'm also creative girl who loves to paint and draw, make crafts and build Legos. I also love to dance. I'm always excited to go to my dance classes. I enjoy ballet and tap. Hurricane Sandy caused a lot of damage in NJ. It destroyed homes, beaches and business properties. We were away from home for one week , it was very scary. Everybody from my family was fine and safe, and I was happy to go back to school to see all my friends again. I've also enjoyed volunteering at my school. We donate warm winter clothing, coats, shoes, blankets and also fun projects for kids. We also raise money for affected families. My family always likes to help somehow, and do everything we can. I'm proud of my family and my school to be a part of making things better. I'm happy to be a New Jersey girl. I love my home state. It describes me and my feeling about everything. Thank you Shining Faces Children's Magazine for choosing me to be a The Grand Supreme Face of all States. I'm proud and honored to represent New Jersey. My goal is to be a good role model for young girls and teach them everything is possible, if you just believe yourself.

"I love Virginia because of the great scenery - - from Shenandoah Valley to the mountains, Virginia Beach to the farm land, Lurray Caverns and numerous old towns with southern charm," says La'Chi of her home state. There are so many picturesque places - including Mount Vernon and the battlefields are everywhere! I'm between two military bases and just outside of the Nation's capitol." Eleven-year-old Laura Chioma, who chose the moniker La'Chi for her modeling work, is a six grade honor roll student. The oldest girl in a family of five children, La'Chi is the family's gentle-spirited creative loon. "I think I'm a helpful person and I care about others," she said. And indeed, she is a considerate and compassionate young lady who can read people's moods (and respond to them) without fail. Her sensitivity and drive to help others is just part of her beautiful spirit. "I'm not perfect, but I try my best." She loves to write and draw. She’s been a recognized dramatist since K -5, when she was named “Best Actor. Last year, she won first place for a self portrait she penciled. She also sings and dances at happy random. And her sense of humor? Both witty and ridiculous.
She's never afraid to try anything at least once - a personality attribute that often pays big dividends. She successfully completed a season of cheer, spent several years as a gymnast, and is now pursuing Girl's Track & Field. She is also a budding actress, currently in rehearsals for "Annie Jr!" at her school. An "America's Next Top Model" addict (like her mom), she’s fascinated with the fashion and advertising industries. One look at how she puts her experimental outfits together and you’d know she’s a fashionforward diva pushing the limits. "I've always been dramatic, and modeling lets me become somebody different each shoot," she said. La’Chi began boutique modeling in summer of 2013, but has been in front of the camera since toddler hood. She’s a natural poser and brings life and fun to any shoot. Having served as a lighting assistant on several of her mom’s client shoots, she uses her experience to make her modeling sessions stronger. She is always a professional and loves pleasing those who book her with consistently strong images showcasing their products. Most recently, she was named Pose Magazine's "I Model for My State" representative for Virginia. She was also Angel In Glitter Magazine's Best of 2013 cover model. And in March, she had the opportunity to shoot with Nancy Vuu Production & Design for the Nancy Vuu Design 2015 Spring Collection in an amazing styled session at Miami's Viscaya Museum and Gardens. Each new opportunity has been a blessing.

Lakyn is a vibrant 9 year old that loves life! She is from the Great State of "West Virginia" and is very proud to be a WV Mountaineer! Lakyn is the former National American Miss ( NAM) Jr Pre-Teen Miss WV and got to spend the year representing her great state. There are so many wonderful things to do and see in my great state, but what I love the most is right here in my own home town, "The Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park". Taking a Stern wheel ride over to the Blennerhassett Island for the day is so much fun! There is so much to do once you get to the Island, but my favorite would have to be the horse and carriage rides around the Island. One thing I also look forward to all year long, is going to the WVU Mountaineer Football games. The best experience I had during a season was getting to go watch our WVU team play in the Orange Bowl and WIN! That was so much fun! " Lets GO"....Mountaineers! One of my very favorite songs to sing is "Take me Home, Country Roads" by John Denver. If you ever get a chance to visit my great state of "Wild and Wonderful" West Virginia, I know you will love it!!!
