About us
What’s in a name?
Breathe Boardwear has been created by a female wakeboarder for female wakeboarders. We are about free fluid movement and comfort on and off the water. We offer a range of apparel and technical products that will keep you super stylish and protected like a pro. As finalists in the ‘Style’ category in the ISPO ‘Brand New’ Awards 2012, we are already off to a great start! Our founder, Cianne Naji, started the company as a way of staying connected with a sport and community that she loves after illness forced her to hang up her board and bindings for good. With Breathe Cianne has an opportunity to combine her wakeboarding know-how with her unique sense of style. At Breathe Boardwear, we have taken Cianne’s philosophy and created a line which embodies its’ every aspect: a range of apparel and technical products that will keep you ultra comfortable, super stylish and protected like a true professional on the water. Clothes that you can Wake, Work and Play in.
Cianne started wakeboarding at age 7 and it quickly became her passion. Crowned Irish national champion in 2010, she also represented her country on the international stage, placing 9th in Open Women’s at the 2009 Korean World Championships and taking 6th place in the 2009 European European Championships in France. Cianne spent 2 years training in Orlando and had just started riding her first few stops on tour when illness forced her to quit riding. Diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at age 2, the progression of her illness meant she was no longer able to compete, or even just ride for fun. Starting her own clothing line was Cianne’s way to stay connected with her greatest passion and a community that has been like a second family to her. The name ‘Breathe Boardwear’ has come from Cianne’s philosophy of fluid, free movement out on the water, and it is also a reminder for all the wakegirls out there to stop, take a moment and just breathe. Our name also embodies a commitment to give something back – we pledge to donate 5% of all sales to Cystic Fibrosis charities worldwide.

I am PROUD to put my name to this brand because I know its going to INSPIRE girls that ride everywhere to take their sport to the NEXT LEVEL and PUSH themselves, so they feel like they can and WILL stomp whatever it is they are trying to nail. WHERE EVER you are, WHATEVER you are doing and WHOEVER you are with, remember to appreciate what you are doing every single step of the way. BREATHE.
