Unprecedented harvest. That was the prayer for this year. We have been praying throughout this year of our life and ministry at Kings Church for a harvest that would “turn heads”. That there would be such an explosion of Kingdom growth that the communities we live in, and the greater Church across the region, would stop and take notice of the Kingdom growth and fruitfulness we were experiencing. Our prayer isn’t, nor has it ever been, that heads would turn to us, that people would come to notice how great we are, but simply that God’s glory would shine through us in such a way that one would have to conclude that there is a God, and that His Name is Jesus! Our prayer has been that we would see His light shine before all men, that they would see our good deeds, and give glory to the Father in Heaven.” In my humble opinion, we have seen the unprecedented harvest we have been praying for over the past year. God has been glorified and the Name of Jesus has been - in an ever increasing way - lifted higher above Saint John, Halifax and the Atlantic region. We are seeing our most fruitful days in the history of our church. This has been an unprecedented year, with two new campuses, 481 decisions to follow Jesus, 137 baptisms, thousands of people connecting to our church, our highest average attendance ever, our highest single weekend attendance ever, our highest special event attendance ever, tens of thousands of dollars given to those in need, thousands of volunteer hours, hundreds of people getting freedom from their hurts, habits and hang ups, hundreds connected in Christian community, hundreds of kids growing in their faith - and this is only a snap shot of the incredible season we have had, and are, experiencing!
I pray, as you look over this exciting report, that your heart is stirred with gratitude, faith, and a heavenly pride in what the Lord is so graciously and powerfully doing in and through us. He truly is the God of the “exceedingly abundantly more than we ask or imagine.” I’m so excited to keep dreaming big, and seeing our Great God exceed our expectations! On behalf of my wife Melanie and I, it is one of the great joys of my life to serve as Senior Pastor of a church that, in my opinion, is second to none. Thank you for the way you love Jesus and the world He loves so very much. If you have given, prayed, served, invested, or locked arms with Kings Church in any way over this past year, I give you my sincerest thanks, and look forward with eager expectation to what God will do in the season to come! “Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do infinitely more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.
