It is a razors path, very sharp. The slightest negligence will cut you, will make you topple down from the path. Guru has said all these things. Then you should follow it, accept it as it is and make yourself worthy and fit for it. But you are not doing anything, not following the ever you have got you lose it now.
Disciple: One class in France, Guru Maharaja, you said to one of your godbrothers that they guru can appear in different forms to help you. Can you explain that if somebody is sincere and praying to the Lord, guru can come in different forms?
Srila Gurudeva: Yes. You can see him also. If you have developed the right vision, you can see your guru. Disciple: You have to go to the water.

Disciple: In the form of sädhu-çästra?
Srila Gurudeva: çästra is always there, sädhu is always there, so guru is always there. Yes, this is eternal. He is eternal. Yes, definitely. But you are not eager at all. You are never thirsty, so how can you get water? You are not crying for water, you are not running for wa-

The On-Going Construction Problems Here are some pictures taken by Navadvipa candra prabhuji of the current state of the brahmacari ashram stalled construction site.
Premananda prabhuji, the Temple President at Iskcon Bhubaneswar, has informed us that Farm were sold, and that money was used to partially pay back money borrowed from both Iskcon Mumbai (a loan of rs 1 crore had been taken out by our Bhubaneswar temple, 54 lakhs were paid back) and also to the building contractor. There is hope that with the sale of the last two plots of land at Atala the rest of the loans can be paid back (15 20 lakh still owed to there may be funds left to spend on a little more of the actual building work. To at least improve the conditions for our brahmacaris there.
HH Haladhara Swami recently informed us that, due to various problems in the current management system, every month not enough funds are raised to cover the running costs of the Temple, so each month it is going several lakhs further into debt (it is currently nearly 40 lakh rupees in debt because of this). This situation is very obviously unsustainable, so Maharaja is currently taking steps that will hopefully improve the situation.

Gundicha Temple, Bhubaneswar Premananda prabhu informed us that the Gundicha Mandir is nearing completion. The top floor is completed, and this is where Lord Jagannath spends His time during the Ratha yatra festival period, before returning to the Sri Sri Krishna Balarama Mandir. Programs are held here. At some point, perhaps later this year, Lord Narasimhadeva will be installed here, and the Temple will become a fullyOn the middle floor some interior work still needs to be completed. This hall may be let out for various cultural events and may raise some funds this way for the Temple.

Sripad Caitanya candra prabhu is continuing his overseas preaching as every year, to Switzerland, Bali as usual, and also maybe to UK later this year, possibly October. As we write, Sripad Haladhara Swami is on a preaching tour of the UK. He was very well received by devotees at Bhaktivedanta Manor and will also give classes at Soho Street, Leicester and the other English temples. He is being hosted by Gunacuda mataji & Goloka Vrndavana prabhu, Priti laksana mataji, Nalini Mataji & Navadvipa candra prabhu. Nandana Acarya prabhu, Titksu prabhu and Jayanti Sri dd are also travelling with him for some of his time here. On Ramnavami this year, Adwaita acharya prabhu became His Holiness Gopinath Prana Swami after taking sannyasa from Sri Gaura Narayana Swami at the Ksirachora Gopinath Temple. Adi Purush prabhu should be taking sannyasa this coming Gaura Purnima, and we have just learned that Atmarama prabhu is also at the beginning stage of the track to taking sannyasa.

My Dear dasa Hare Krishna. May you have the blessings of Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga all of the time. Thank you for your letter. I have read it and noted the contents with care. In the Gita, Krishna says:
ananya-cetah satatam yo mam smarati nityasah tasyaham sulabhah partha nutya-yuktasya yogunah this process you can be constantly with Guru and Gauranga. And now, in this scientific age, there are so many scientific inventions like tapes, video tapes, books, correspondence, phones, faxes and other ways by which you can have contact at any moment. Modern science provides us with such facilities and we can utilize them for our Krishna consciousness. Karmis utilize them for their material works and we utilize them for the service of Guru and Gauranga. If you want to hear from me then books and tapes are available, thereby you can hear and remember. In this way, you can keep your mind with Guru and Gauranga. What is the difficulty? If you are crying in the heart to keep up the instructions of Guru, then Krishna will help you. Nothing is impossible for Krishna. I hope, this letter meets you in good health and a blissful mood of Krishna consciousness. Your ever well-wisher,
Gour Govinda Swami 26/10/95

From a private darshan, recorded in Bhubaneswar on 16-03-91 (we have done minimal edit-caritämåta how one cannot achieve Krishna in Vraja by vaidhi-bhakti, only by räganügä-bhakti. Srila Gurudeva: Yes. Disciple: It seems that in Iskcon there seems to be fear even to mention räganügä-bhakti. If you mention, then everyone says you are a sahajiya. Not everyone is interested in this räganügä-bhakti. It seems that many devotees have been practicing Krishna consciousness for räganügä-bhakti. Srila Gurudeva: Because they have no inquiry about it. They have no hankering. They are remaining satisfied with the little thing they have got, which is not at all congenial, or not the process at all on the spiritual path. This spiritual path means that you should address your inquiry on how to attain the goal; and you have not attained the goal. You are only halfway,

there. Disciple; Vaidhi-bhakti we know about, but räganügä-sadhana-bhakti I know practically nothing about. How does it work? What is the process? Srila Gurudeva: You see, vaidhi is the fundamental basic thing, and that is for one and all, so we stress on it because our public teaching, when we are teaching publicaly it is for public, one and all, so we always speak on vaidhi. And this process of räganügä-bhakti is only to be taught to some advanced devotees, not to one and all. So, it is for specific cases. This devotee, or this devotee, needs it now, so guru teaches. A preacher means public preaching. He speaks on vaid vaidhi because he is a public preacher, and especially he was preaching in the Western world where people are very, very degraded. Why he will say all these things? But, when some devotee, some disciple will be advanced and he needs, Guru will give it. As I say, he is taking care and he will give that teaching. If there. Disciple: Guru Maharaja, I was wondering, in Jaiva Dharma and Harinäma-cintämaëi Bhaktivinode Thakur says how the disciple approaches the spiritual master, and then the spiritual master gives him this definite information about his svärupa, this siddha-praëäli how does siddha-praëäli take place in our line? Do we have the system where the guru tells the disciple his svarüpa, his service, his body colour, dress, age, and so on?

Our dear Gurubhai Sripad Sacinandana prabhuji leaves this world. In a post from Dandabhanga Dham on May 27, disciples of Sacinandana prabhu posted the following. To inform one and all that our beloved Srila Gurudev Sripad Sachinandan Das had manifested his disappearance today (27/05/2017) at 3:30 am. He was rested in Samadhi at Lord Sriman Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's Supremely inconceivable Dandabhanga Leelabhumi in the presence of huge gathering of Sadhus, Vaishnavas. His prime worshipable most beloved spiritual master Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaj had predicted that a Supremely inconceivable pastime site of Lord Sriman Chaitanya Mahaprabhu will come his way to render services and that had happened. Today (Sacinandana prabhu had been ill for many years, and prior to his disappearance he had spent some time in a serious condition in the intensive care unit of Ameri Hospital, Bhubaneswar.)
Devotees may like to read a biography/hagiography of Sacinandana prabhu, written by his disciples, which can be found at http://www.mediafire.com/file/1pt2xzpisakfhgu/ A_brief_life_story_of_Sripad_Sachinandan_Das.pdf You may also be interested to listen to Sacinandana prabhu speaking Krishna katha. for the simple reason - and this is the only truth, nothing else - because Prabhupada desired him to do so. Even when Gurudeva was given the sacred land at Sri Jagannath Puri, first Srila Gurudeva said that Sacinandana should have the power of attorney, so in my name it was issued. Then I requested Gurudeva to take it to his name, but Gurudeva wanted me to dhama, so the opportunity has come and you have rendered so much service there at Bhuba-

Recipe for Preparing Dalma (This originally appeared in issue 1 of the Krishna Balarama Temple (Bhubaneswar) Construction Fund Newsletter Recipe by Para brahma das) In Bhubaneswar, Dalma is always there. Now, with this recipe from Sadhu das (of the ferred diet where-ever he goes. Srila Gurudeva once commented how Srila Prabhupada had also praised dalma when he was there at Bhubaneswar in 1977, and that in general, he very much liked Orissan cooking Thakur Bhaktivinode, in his Bhoga arati song, has also mentioned dalma, or dalna as it is called in Bengal. "Dali dalna dugdha-tumbhi dadhi moca-khanda" The following are a few short transcriptions of occasions in England where our Gurudeva spoke of dalma, the first of which was when I failed to make dalma for his meal when he arrived at Bhaktivedanta Manor from India on 28th September, 1991. Gurudeva "Dali Dalma Moca-khanda...you see there moca-khanda...banana flower.. it is difficult to eat if there is no dalma" Para Brahma das "I'll have to send a recipe for dalma to America or else you'll be in difficulty. There they don't know how to make it." Gurudeva "Bhaktivinode Thakur has written 'Dali dalna moca-khanda1 you see. When Srila Prabhupada was there (at Bhubaneswar) he said that thing. So every day we are making this moca-khanda, and katal, this green ..."
Gurudeva "Jackfruit. Every day we are making. Every day. He said Orissan cooking is very nice'.1 .. (This conversation below was recorded in his room at the Manor on 29th September 1991)
Gurudeva not eat." P.B.d "Is it like in Orissa, or not so good?"(Para brahma is asking about the dalma he had made) Gurudeva "No, it's alright."
(and again in the Iskcon South London center) P.B.d- "In other parts of India they don't take dalma?"
Gurudeva "They don't, but Vaisnavas take. Dali dalma." P.B.d "It's in that Bhoga arati song." Gurudeva "Bhoga arati, yes."
-
P.B.d- "In the translation to that song, Acyutananda says 'small cakes made with dahl'
Gurudeva "No, that is a defective translation. Not correct." P.B.d "He also translates it dalna." Gurudeva "Dalna, yes it's the same thing."
meal. However on his foreign tours, generally this item is not available. Patita Pavan prabhu recently wrote from America, where he was travelling as Sri Gurudeva's servant,"Special thanks to Parabrahma prabhu for 'dalma' which we do not find anywhere else in Western countries." To make sure that in the future no inconvenience is caused on his travels outside of Orissa, we have given below a recipe for a very tasty dalma.
The Recipe (Parabrahma das) I cooked the following recipe many times for Gurudeva on his recent European tour. Patita pavan das once commented that it was 'a master-piece amongst dalmas , Dalma should be cooked on a moderate heat and should be thick with sufficient vegetables, not too runny, rather like a sabji coated with a soft dahl sauce. The best dahl to use is split mung dahl.. particularly the yellow, skinless variety. Some good vegetables to use are potatoes, squash, green papaya, eggplant, carrots, green beans and green banana, to name a
few. This recipe followed as is will be sufficient for four people, and will take about 40 minutes to cook. ' the ingredients (adjust according to quantity of dalma needed!) 1 cup split yellow mung dahl 6 cups water
1 teaspoon turmeric 5 bay leaves 1 kg mixed chopped vegetables 2 teaspoons salt the chaunce 2-g- tablespoons ghee 2 teaspoons panch puren * 1-|- tablespoons minced fresh ginger 2-3 fine chopped green chillies 15 fresh curry leaves hing to taste additional items tomatoes
3 fine chopped freshly grated coconut
finishing items
mix **
3teaspoons dry roast powder 3 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaf
*panch puren-a Bengali mix of five spices in equal quantities-mustard seed, cumin, fennel, fenugreek, kalonji ** take red chilli + 3 teaspoons cumin seed, dry roast and reduce to a fine powder in a spice grinder
the method 1) after cleaning the dahl, place it, along with the water, turmeric and bay leaves in a suitable sauce pan, raise to the boil and simmer on a moderate heat until the dahl is half cooked. 2) add the vegetables and salt, stir and cover with lid, simmer until vegetables are tender.
3) prepare the chaunce by adding the panch puren, chillies, ginger, curry leaves and hing. When the spices are fried add the hot chaunce to the cooking dalma & simmer on a low heat for 2-3 mins. 4) add the tomatoes, coconut and dry roast powder, stir and simmer gently for 5 mins., stir occasionally. 5) just before serving sprinkle on coriander leaves, stir and serve. Try this recipe out, you ll find dalma very tasty, and then you can cook it for Srila Gurudeva on his next visit.
Serve Srila Prabhupada Those disciples who are coming to me, being sent by my beloved spiritual master should be true disciples! Serve Srila Prabhupada and get His mercy. My dear Guru Maharaja frequently said, repeatedly says, Be serious! Take it seriously! This is for serious students, yes seriousness is required. If there will be no seriousness one cannot serve Guru and Gouranga. Take it seriously! So just quoting the words of my Gurudeva, I request you all, my beloved, devotee disciples, to take it seriously and swear! Take a promise! At the cost of our life we must serve Srila Prabhupada, so the success of your life will be assured. Praying at the lotus feet of my Guru on this Vyasapuja, I tell you this thing. Let him shower his causeless mercy on you. Vyasapuja Offering 24th Aug '89
