This year’s Day in the Park heated up in a bidding frenzy with guests raising their paddles high to help raise money to send children with chronic & life threatening illnesses, developmental disabilities and youth at-risk to camp at no cost to their families.

Thanks to ALL OF YOU, our campers’ dreams continue to come true!

Gift Center & Festa Del Vino

Guests perused and bid on more than 80 Gift Center packages, such as weekend getaways, one-of-a-kind gift baskets, outdoor adventures and more. Thanks to emcees Jim Hampton, Doug McConnell and Mike Nicco for their hard work on the mics, and a special thank you to all of the local businesses who generously donated items.

This year we introduced the Festa del Vino, benefiting our Therapeutic Equestrian Programs. For $40, guests were able to select from an array of masked wines.

Epicurean Ensemble

Vintners, brewmasters, bakers, and chefs provided more than 1,000 guests with delectable delights throughout the gift center. Thank you to all the Epicurean Ensemble guests who made the day so delicious. This year we welcomed a few new epicurean ensemble guests, including New Leaf Community Market, Handles Gastropub, Jersey Mike's and LĂ„RABAR; and welcomed back some long-time favorites, like Uncle Yu's, Walnut Creek Yacht Club, Boston Beer, Zephyr Grill and Wente. We hope to see you all again next year.

Send a Kid to Camp

Shana Morrison performed a beautiful rendition of Tim McGraw's Humble and Kind to help kick off the live auction.

YOU ROCK!

Thanks to you, we raised $1,139,000 during Send a Kid to Camp!

Live Auction

Highlights of the day included a Wine Connoisseur Dinner for Eight that sold for $50,000, and an NFL Package featuring Super Bowl LI tickets, which raised $24,000! Two buyers bid $17,500 each to see The Rolling Stones in Las Vegas, and a dinner for eight guests prepared by Chef Victor Scargle sold twice, raising $36,000 to send kids to camp.

With the overwhelming support of volunteers, donors, Epicurean Ensemble, guests and the community, we raised over $2 million for the children and families we serve.

Congratulations to long time supporter Lillian Steinle who won the 2016 Fiat 500X.

Keb' Mo'

Day in the Park ended on a high note. Guests were on their feet and dancing, thrilled by the special performance by three-time Grammy Award winner Keb' Mo'.

Camper Party

Our campers enjoyed Day in the Park as well, filling the day with cotton candy, balloon animals, ice cream, sno cones, pom poms and photo booth fun!

Volunteers

As always, the day would not be possible without the help from our 370 volunteers. We greatly appreciate your support of TTFF and the time you give to ensure Day in the Park is a success!

A special thank you to our photographers who captured the magic of the day: Tom Tomkinson, Reed James, James Montgomery and Susana Millman.
