안 녕 하 세 요 HELLO Welcome to Palisades Park! Alternatively known as the Little Korea Town of Bergen County, Palisades Park is a small town located in northern New Jersey. Characterized by authentic Korean-American culture and food, Palisades Park is filled with delicious cuisine and wonderful attractions that invite and entice visitors from all around.

ě&#x2014; ě&#x201A;Ź HISTORY Named after its place atop the New Jersey Palisades, Palisades Park is located in Bergen County, NJ. Founded in 1899, Palisades Park is one of the largest and fastest growing ethnic Korean enclaves outside of Korea. Koreans comprise the majority (52%) of the population in the city and it is home to both the highest Korean-American density and percentage of any municipality in the United States. Through time, the town has gone through a wide number of changes since founded.

Until the 80s, Palisades Park was populated by mostly Caucasian, a mix of bluecollar workers and professionals. Its houses were inexpensive, and it had a number of vacant shops and offices.

음 식 FOOD Celebrated for it’s diverse offerings of Korean food, Palisades Park has the highest concentration of Korean restaurants within a one-mile radius in the United States. Broad Avenue, which can be considered the heart of Palisades Park, is often referred to as the “Korean Food Walk of Fame”. On this street you will find many different establishments offering a wide variety of tasty foods from quick street food to warm baked goods.

With a wide selection of Korean barbeque as well as tasty dishes, the restaurant attracts both residents and tourists alike. Some of the best dishes to order here would be Samgyeopsal (삼겹 살) and Kalbi (갈비). You can either choose to have your meat grilled in the kitchen or right in front of you on the grills attached to the tables. 카 페 베 네 CAFFE BENE Caffe Bene is a leading Korean coffee label as well as a trend-setting space that offers an ideal combination of both Eastern and Western coffeeshop yummies. Here, visitors can enjoy coffee using select coffee beans or top-ofclass single origin coffee. 밤 문 화 NIGHTLIFE As nightlife and drinking have a very special place in the heart of the Korean culture, Palisades Park offers a wide range of night-time activities. The streets of this town are often bustling with life late at night with a plethora of local bars, lounges, and most notably, Karaoke bars. The top attractions of this area will almost always feature the national Korean alcohol, Soju (소줏), which is a distilled, vodka-like, rice liquor with high potency. Most bars in the area will also double as late-night restaurants as well.
