Site is very narrow and elongated that limits spatial configuration. Because the administrative building is expected to be demolished in the future, putting permanent structures is discouraged.
CONSIDERATIONS Strong colors and smell is discouraged as many Veterans are hyper-sensitive from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Serene and therapeutic space is to be built to provide relaxation for the cancer patients who frequent to the radiology center adjacent to the site.

The metaphorical conversion will take a physical form visible to human eyes. Wind energy can be converted to generate electricity. Dead trees can be recycled to create rootwad at riverbanks which will foster aquatic microhabitat.

DOM PODMURVICE PARK DESIGN/ BUILD PROJECT
DOM PODMURVICE, RIJEKA, CROATIA | AUTUMN 2016| TEAM PROJECT ROLE: Developing color scheme, Graphics, Construction SKILL: Welding, Sawing, Concrete, Crafting, Painting TEAM: 13 UW Students 3 U of Florida Students 5+ Local Students We honed to the idea of inclusion in our design. Preschool kids, teens, adults, able or challenged alike, anyone can have fun together. A terraced gathering space at the center offer chances for performance and adventure. The natural play area and tree house offer learning experiences for the youth users.
A
In the first design phase, our group proposed having different zones of healing garden: passive zone, active zone, and a cognitive zone. Our idea was incorporated into the final design as a raised stage-like space that entices active interaction among different groups of people-children, highschool students, adults, disabled alike-in variety of height levels, from the ground to the top of the tree house.

COLOR PROPOSAL SCHEME
I derived decision for the colors to be used for repainting the structure which was originally gray. I was inspired from colors of the Rijeka village. I envisioned the structure to resemble the Croatian village in a harmonious way. The new color scheme will inspire students to be more adventurous and curious.
