When thinking about technology what comes to mind is innovation, futuristic, sharp, bright and holographic. One of the moods which is transformed from this techno trend is hologram, this colour palette is fun and creative and reflects the trend extermely well.

R E S E A R C H Rain Room The rain room is an exhibition which has travelled the world since 2013, it first appeared in New York at MoMA in 2013. The idea was invented to give the visitors an experince of controllng the rain where they are ecnouraged to become performers in the ongoing downpour creating an initimate atmosphere. The Rain Room is a “field of falling water that pauses wherever a human body is detected�. The room exlores and looks at ideas within technology, science and the human imagination to create an overall emotion of controlling particles which are uncontrollable. This exhibition is a pure example of how technology is adavancing amd developing as the industry is begining to creative illision and experinces than just machinery.
Hussein Chalayan Hussein Chalayan S/S16 fashion show in Paris was one of the most talked about shows, the main aspect was his dissolving dress. Models stood under a pool of falling water where a new design was created from the field of water. This is key form of the development of technology and how the industry is mixing and becomibg apart of the fashion world. I feel this is a great way to mixed both industries together to creatve an innvoative and visual experience.

R E S E A R C H 3D Printing Over the years due to advances in technology 3D printing has been able to develop, this is a new way of constructing garments in an innvoative way. A number of designers have adopted this way of making clothes such as Iris Van Herpen, who showcased all his designs through 3D printing. This is a creative way to introduce technology into the fashion industry, as this development adavances styles shapes such as straight and clean cuts are becoming more current. Over the years as printing advances 3D printing will become more common and less premium.
Björk Björk’s exhibition in Sommerset House London encoprates a wide range of technology to show her icelandic personality and style. The exhibition is a virtual reality showcasing her collaboration with fine visual artists and programmers around the world. The visuals are fun and creative which allow all visitors to interpret in different ways. Other current trends which i feel link to the aspect of virtial realility is the nexflix show “stranger Things” which throws a spin on past technology and looks at whats is between life and death the “upside down”.
Sia- The Greatest Throughout Sia’s music video and concerts she uses visuals and dancers to protray the message of her songs while she stands in the corner covering her face. The visuals use a wide range of different technologys to create the overall eye opening performance. Sia recently released her new song ‘The Greatest’ which is protraying the orlando shootings, her go to girl Maddie Ziegler is the featured dancer within the music video who wears the pride colours on her face throughout the whole video to support the gay coummunity. For Apples iphone 7 release Sia performed her new song with visuals with Maddie performing. This shows how technology is linking with other industry around the world.
Social Media As technology has growth and developed over the years social media has advanced and has become more popular, causing a number of designers and companies to incoprate this platform into their brand. This is a great resource to advertise the garmenst and design to consumers and clients. Many modelling jobs and acting roles have involved social media and the numebr of followings they have, which shows how technology is developing into other industries.
