Oh me, oh my, I seem to be dead. That last experiment Put me over my head.

I hope I did good, I hope I was useful. This death for the doctor Will surely be fruitful.

She sent me to duty, And watched with a pad. With me and her research I’m sure she’ll be glad.

What’s that on my path? A woman? A boat? I guess if she’s my destiny That boat must float.

“Hello strange woman, I just want to know. Will you take me on a ride Where the water does flow?”

With a nod of her head And a “Thank you” from me, She extended her leg And kicked us to sea.

“What’s your name?” I asked “What do you do? Where are you from?” I paused before asking “Does this world ever have sun?”

...

With a thud of the shore, “This is your stop” she said “The end of your line Lies up ahead.”

With a “thank you from me And a kick off the bog, The woman vanished Into the fog.

I do wonder, Did I live well? Or is this path Leading me to Hell?

This path looks strange. Those moons are new. If these are its hands Then I wonder “Who’s?”

As I get lifted, The stories turn true. At the end of your life The Mother Greets you.

“Come now Hermaeus. The maw’s open for you.”

“If darkness grows cold, Mother’s warmth is true."

Entering the abyss Brought me harmony. No more worries, This is eternity.
