Aiveen Daly By Janna AlaWhen our university shut last March due to Covid, it meant we would need to create our collection remotely. For me that meant primarily CAD simulations (which you can see part of in the later pages), as my vision had almost entirely relied on access to machines and equipment. As someone who is naturally interested in surface texture, this was not the way I imagined my three years would conclude. However, it showed how much I was capable of achieving, improved my skill and confidence as a designer. Thankfully after hand-in, we were able to go back to university and access the machines. The following is my collection of digital embroideries and quilts, envisioned as upholstery and furnishing fabric in high-end interiors.
