RETRO COTTAGE S/S22 Womenswear fabric trend: A playful mood featuring vibrant citrus shades, as well as blues and pinks. With a 70s meets picnic aesthetic, this trend welcomes bold nostalgic florals and quirky, checks, stripes and ginghams. and of course statement collars and ruffles; combining it with whimsical cottage-core influences.

I created these Moodboards for online promotion of WORKINGMENBLUES SS’22 collection. The collection is a mixture of mine and the head designer’s work. Featuring Pantone S/S22 forecasted, Lavender, Paradise green and Sulphur spring, they highlight some of my favourite pieces.

I illustrated these using pen and ink, and developed them into repeats. They were digital embroidered onto Chambray and Organza Chiffon with beading detail, for WORKINGMENBLUES S/S22 fabric collection.

Marbled natural forms drawn in fine liner and developed in adobe as a repeat print. Used below for a pleated fabric and to the right as a background for cutwork embroidery.
Mountain scapes
Inspired by my trip across the Southwestern Unites states (Winter 2022), I was humbled by the vastness of landscapes and wanted to capture this. Drawn in fine liner and developed in illustrator, this is my Infitity Mountain scape design with a reflected horizon.
I envision this being printed onto a nylon for outdoor clothing or camping gear. I can also see this design interpretted with a mixture of digital print and embroidery.
Zala Stitch
During lockdown I was selling handmade face masks and other accessories, from repurposed fabric. This fabric is one of the pieces from my Degree collection, inspired by Persioislamic design.During my degree, I discovered the wonderful world of natural dyes. The below is linen dyed using avocado skin, a go-to technique for me as I love this dusty shade of pink.
Left is an ex-Paul Smith bridal silk/cotton fabric. To achieve such a vibrant yellow (above) I dyed it using turmeric.Daisy Chrysanthemums
