This special restaurant was established form the perspective that people with a light mental disability could also be active in a regular work environment to improve the social skill and reintegration in society of people with a mental disability. The name Buitengewoon means extraordinary.

The work activities as a waitress were waiting tables, guiding the “extraordinary “staff members.After a year in service I was promoted as manager. I was responsible of managing the team, responsible over the cash register, stocks and stock orders. I also gained a S.H degree, which is a diploma in knowledge about the social and hygienic rules in hospitality business.

internship spinna 2012-2013 I completed my internship at SPINNA – The woman’s international textile alliance as brand consultant. The SPINNA foundation empowers woman entrepreneurs globally and furthers fashion through innovative and sustainable solutions drawn from traditions and generations of textile expertise. The objective of my internship was to determine their corporate values, create a strategy to ensure their growth in memberships and establish a brand identity. Together with SPINNA I created a new brand identity and communication plan.

freelance work 2013 Clothing Connect For the company Clothing Connect I created their new logo and provided new visuals. The logo design and photo shoot was on a freelance basis. The photos and logo are visible on http://www.clothing-connect.com/

2013 SPINNA brand book My former internship company SPINNA needed a new brand identity to go with their new logo. Even though my internship ended I was asked to help further develop their communication strategy. My contribution to this project was supply new visuals, a new brand book and a new web design.

freelance work 2013 Figuratie.nu brand identity and web design For the company Figuratie.nu I have created their brand identity, visual language and web design. This onlinebased company needed a recognizable online platform that looks professional and modern. After creating a company directory I worked along side a web designer to further develop the look and feel of the company.

2014 Artwork for hang tag and labels For a project for SPINNA in Ethiopia I created the artwork for labels and hangtags. The concept was to work with the visual symbols that I created for the brand book. In The artwork is based on the concept of the global network of SPINNA.
