about kdb Keep Denton Beautiful (KDB) is a nonprofit organization that offers community improvement and environmental education programs for the benefit of Denton neighborhoods, businesses, and residents of all ages. The mission of KDB is to inspire individuals to take greater responsibility for creating a clean and beautiful city through litter prevention, reduction of waste, and community beautification.
about aas KDB’s Adopt-a-Spot (AAS) program is one of the largest programs in the state, with nearly 50 active groups. Our volunteers are responsible for picking up thousands of pounds of litter each year from Denton’s roadways. A clean city results in a higher quality of life for your family, higher property values for your neighborhood, and increased customers in your business district. Being an adopter also gives you an opportunity to teach your children about community responsibility, receive positive publicity for your business, or gain valuable community service experience.
get involved Be an ADOPTER Any individual, family, business, or group can be an adopter. You will select your spot from the available half-mile segments and pledge to clean up a minimum of six times annually. This is a two-year commitment. Be a WATCHER Is actively cleaning up not for you? You can still participate in the AAS program as a watcher! All you have to do is report litter conditions in your assigned area of Denton on a monthly basis. Be an INVESTOR Whether you want to take part in cleanups or not, you can support the AAS program with a monetary or in-kind donation. This is a great opportunity for individuals or businesses; help pay for signs, trash and recycling bags, litter tongs, etc.
