An Affair of the Art Benefiting the Junior Associates Circle of the Dallas Museum of Art FACT SHEET WHAT:
2009 marks the 16th anniversary of An Affair of the Art – the black-tie, art acquisition gala hosted by the Junior Associates Circle and the Dallas Museum of Art.
The evening includes cocktails, a private viewing of Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs, dinner, dancing, and a presentation of three works of art proposed for acquisition by the Museum. Guests then vote on one of the three pieces to be given to the Museum’s permanent collection. Musical entertainment provided by DJ Lucy Wrubel. EVENT CHAIRPERSONS:

An Affair of the Art is a successful fundraiser that has sold out for the past several years and brings great benefits to the DMA. The event not only educates the audience about the importance of art and the Dallas Museum of Art, but also provides the venue for acquiring more than 16 works of art for the Museum’s permanent collection.
HOW MUCH:
Underwriting opportunities begin at $500. Individual tickets for the gala are $175, and individual tickets for the after party are $65, subject to availability.
GENERAL INFO:
The Junior Associates Circle membership level of the Dallas Museum of Art was established in 1990. The Junior Associates currently has more than 620 members, both singles and couples, who range in age from 23 to 40.
