WINTER EDITION 2022

In this Issue: CODY’S COMMENTARY PUPDATE COUNSELOR CORNER OLYMPIANS IN THE NEWS CAMP LEADERSHIP PROGRAM REGISTRATION UPCOMING EVENTS 2022 SUMMER THEME & TERM DATES

Cody's Commentary Hello Camp O Family,

I hope this letter finds you doing well and having an O-mazing start to 2022. We are definitely excited for this new year around camp and gearing up for the best summer yet. There are many changes that happen during this time of year. The landscaping goes from green to beautiful golds, browns and reds. We go from cutting grass to mulching leaves. With all the leaves that have fallen the cabins go from hidden to being seen from the main part of camp. We go from wearing t-shirts and shorts to wearing jeans and hoodies. Even the pool has a cover on it! I point out the differences from winter to summer at camp to let you know that even though it looks and feels a little different that the heartbeat never changes. Each day during the changing of seasons we are prepping for May 29th, 2022 to hurry up and get here. Camp O needs the energy that our campers and staff bring each summer to sustain the energy for the entire year. I guess we are a little like bears, except that we are in reverse hibernation. We don’t need sleep to sustain us for the rest of the year, we need the energy, joy, laughter and love of summer camp to keep us going all year long. The energy generated during our summer months makes the Energizer Bunny seem like a slow poke! The joy that comes from the summer keeps our hearts smiling even in the cold months of winter. The laughter seems to ring through the tall pine trees all the way until spring. And finally, the love shown to one another here at camp never leaves our hearts- it seems to last a lifetime! Our hope for each of you during the new year is that your hearts are full of the same energy, joy, laughter and love with your family and friends. This summer, we hope camp will grow our hearts even larger with these qualities! Campfully, Cody Mauldin Camp Olympia Boys’ Camp Director

Pupdate CATCH UP WITH SOME OF OUR PUPPIES IN TRAINING!

The Marchand Family sent us a much needed pup-date on Dash, one of our adorable pups from last summer! He got a big dog haircut and looks so grown up. He loves to snuggle and is always so happy! He is doing well in his training and loves kids! Thanks for loving Dash as much as we do!

Bonus! We also got to catch up with Zeus from 2020 and he is loving his family! Zeus is a rambunctious, playful, and speedy puppy! His second birthday is coming up and he is growing so fast! He loves playing fetch outside and hide & seek inside. Zeus loves living with his 3 big brothers Charlie (15), Austin (14), and Tyler (8) who take care of him... some of the time.
