Cardboard Chair for Hot Italian Competition This model was the first group project I worked on as an Interior Design Student. We were put in groups of four designers. We were tasked with creating a chair out of cardboard and keeping it together through the use of nails and screws. Since the competition was held at Hot Italian we were also given pizza boxes from them and had to incorporate them in our project somehow. My team worked together on all the design decisions but my part was incorporating the logo. I created a fun and interesting circular pattern for the back of the chair.
Godiva Storefront Design: Revit 3D Printed This project was created in Revit and consisted of two phases. In the first phase, we had to create a color rendering of the Godiva storefront. The second phase consisted of printing the model on a 3D printer.
Balsa Wood Pavillion The Sacramento State Design Department was challenged with creating a fancy shead for the Biology Department. I was in charge of creating a composting shead. Since it was a shead used for composting, I incorporated two large entrances, windows for light and a covered opening for fresh air. This project taught me to think creatively and create a unique shead while also making sure it was functional. It also taught me to cut very precisely while using an exacto blade.
Tennant Improvement: Nu Cosmetic Clinic
Tennant Improvement: Nu Cosmetic Clinic My clients, the physicians of Nu Cosmetic Clinic, wanted a fuctional yet modern space. To create that I began researching what a Cosmetic or Aesthetic clinic needs, what new clinics look like, what colors make people look best, and what light makes people look better. I decided to have all my walls either straight or at a fourty five degree angle in order to match with the existing structure, but I added a curve in some walls and circles in my choices for furniture and floors. I picked circles because their direction in space is calming, and circles seem to go on forever. The cycle of life is a circle, you are born, you grow up into an adult, and eventually you get old and die. At Nu Cosmetic Clinic the cirlces tie in to making a person feel rejuvinated and young their whole lives, thus breaking the cycle. The colors I picked were based off an article which said that the apricot color flatters the complection and lavander/light purple can sooth a person. My color scheme is based on peach and apricot colors with hues of oranges and purples as well. I also picked wallpapers to show sunset or sunrise, to replicate the best light for a persons complection. For the design of the space, I decided to socialize the glass so that everyone can get the much needed natural sunlight. I created a simple floor plan in which one enters in the reception waiting area, and from there you are either directed to the left to see a administrator or to the right to see a physician. The doctors and staff members also have their own entrances which are for their use only or for exists in the case of an emergency. I created large open spaces for the staff to work in, but also for the patients coming into the clinic. I created an inviting space where clients will enjoy coming for consultations.

Retail: Dolce & Gabbana
Retail: Dolce & Gabbana Dolce and Gabbana is a brand that expresses luxury, elegance, and presents itself through modern classicism. The brand has evolved through the years but they have never forgotten their roots, Italy. Season after season their style changes but a piece from the past in always present in their designs. It is a brand that is unique through their attention to detail not only in their clothing but also in all of their accessories and scents. In the design of the storefront the Corinthian columns were kept in their original form to preserve true classicism. The storefront is popped out in order to make the store stand out and create some contrast in the mall, while also bringing the store into the mall space. The Roman arches are used in the storefront to preserve the brands roots. When the customer enters the store they see the glass barrel vault above them with the small lights shining above them. The interior is mostly modern with a touch of baroque in the sofas. The modern elements are the lights, tables for merchandise and reception desk. The floor is also a mixture of modern in the sleek white tile and the lush golden carpet. Another Postmodern aspect of the store are the inverted Corinthian columns in the interior.
