The previous proposal for this site was an Islamic community center and was widely mistaken for a giant mosque. To embrace this issue, there will be a prayer space for Muslims, as well as other religious groups in the Arab community and

market
The market aprovides stores/departments that help run the center and generate revenue. Each store will be accompanied with a studio as a workplace for the employees. The market is the main program of the center, it acts as a small company within the building. The main purpose of the market is to attract people outside of the community center’s targetted outreach. The market will create physical and social interaction, ultimately addressing a trust issue that exists between Muslims and non-Muslims.
