GOLDEN WINE & SPIRITS WHOLESALER CHATEAU DES LAURETS Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion The Château des Laurets vineyard covers 95 contiguous hectares which straddle two AOC districts: Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion and Montagne-Saint-Émilion. Within the property, the 50 hectares located on Puisseguin land are devoted to the production of our Château des Laurets cru. The grounds are entered from the north side, opposite the park, and afford a view of the superb château built around 1860, which owes its architectural distinction to the octagonal central tower that dominates its back portion. The vineyards of Château des Laurets are located along hillsides with southern exposure and occasional outcroppings of limestone. This excellent clay-limestone terroir gives the Merlot of Saint-Émilion its full power and typicality. Extra care is given to growing methods to achieve, in particular, a low yield of high quality grapes at optimal maturity. The grapes are harvested manually (machines are used as back-up when faster work is required). Upon reception in the vat room, the entire harvest is sorted then de-stemmed before being transferred to the tanks. All the wood, stainless steel and concrete vats are thermo-regulated. The grapes macerate in these for an extended period before the start of barrel ageing, which lasts 14 to 18 months. Baron Benjamin de Rothschild acquired this splendid estate in 2003 with the intention of realising its full potential. Renovations to the vat room began in spring 2004 to offer this wine modern, high-performance facilities. Renovations to the vat room began in spring 2004 to offer this wine modern, high-performance facilities. Thanks to the efforts undertaken, beginning with the 2004 Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion vintage, the best plots from only 4 of the 95 hectares of vineyard that comprise the estate were selected to produce the quintessence of the property. Thus a cuvée of excellence was born and baptised “Les Laurets Baron Edmond de Rothschild”.

GOLDEN WINE & SPIRITS WHOLESALER CHATEAU BIBIAN Haut-Medoc Chateau Bibian is one of the oldest and most renowned vineyards in Listrac and first belonged to Pierre-Henri Bibian. In 1987, the property was then taken over by Jean Tigana, pillar of Bordeaux football club. Alain and Maryse Meyre bought the property a few years later, safe in the knowledge that their children, Julien and Nathalie, will one day be keeping this precious legacy alive. The 40 to 70 year-old vines give the Chateau Bibian wine the characteristics that are typical of great Listrac wines. A second wine, La Fleur Bibian, is also produced from the same vines. Le Château Bibian is a deep, dark red bordering on inky in its opacity. On the nose the depth of its aromas is astounding combining spice and vanilla with ripe dried fruit. A fresh finish however reveals good acidity and heralds a long future for this wine. Le Château Bibian is a deep, dark red bordering on inky in its opacity.
