Score Instructions/Legend General Information About the Score:

- like normal scores you read your parts left to right. so every measure in each section that is to the right of an instrument name is played by that instrument regardless of any other symbol that may intervene. For example, in the first section (A), each instrument plays 3 or 4 separate measures of music. - measures are organized into columns only as a space saving measure. A systems of symbols provides a distinction between simultaneous, contiguous and sequenced sound events (explained below). - the order from top to bottom of instruments in the score changes in each section reflecting the position of the instrument in the physical space. Furthermore, instruments are grouped together based on their placement in one of the three locations. Instruments that are in or near room 202 will be placed near the top of the score, instruments in the foyer will be placed in the middle of the score and instruments that are in or near room 212 will be placed at the bottom of the page. - a time signature is present when it is necessary for melodic phrasing. - repeat barlines are played as in conventional scores unless otherwise indicated by instructions in the score. - all transposing instruments are written in the proper transpositions and NOT concert pitch.

General Symbols: brackets
