NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS - 2016 TAX BILLS Please be advised that the 2016 Final Tax Bills, for all property classes, were mailed on or before June 27th, 2016. The due date is Wednesday, August 31st, 2016. The following payment options are available for the convenience of our taxpayers: BY MAIL Please make your cheque payable to the Town of Gravenhurst. Cheques postdated to August 31, 2016 will be accepted. All mail is date stamped upon receipt, this will be considered the date of payment. IN THE EVENT OF A POSTAL STRIKE, PLEASE MAKE ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS TO PAY YOUR TAXES; they can be paid WHERE YOU BANK, IN PERSON, or AFTER HOURS at the drop-off box (see below). WHERE YOU BANK - By Teller, date of Teller’s stamp is date of payment.(A service charge may apply) • By ATM (Automated Teller Machine) • By Telephone or Internet Banking from the convenience of your own home 24 hours a day. Please contact your financial institution for more details. If your bank does not accept a 19 digit account number, the last four digits of your roll number “0000” may be omitted. AFTER HOURS - Payment may be made 24 hours a day at the municipal drop-off box, 3-5 Pineridge Gate, Gravenhurst. Please do not put cash in the drop-off box. IN PERSON - Payment may be made in person at the Town Office, 3-5 Pineridge Gate, Gravenhurst, from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. We accept cash, cheque or debit card payments. Please note we do NOT accept Credit Card Payments. If you have not received your bill, please contact the Town of Gravenhurst Tax Department immediately. Unfortunately, failure to receive a tax bill does not constitute reason for non-payment. GRAVENHURST PUBLIC LIBRARY Reading Buddies – Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 2:30 to 3 pm all summer long – This program is geared to children ages 4 to 12 who struggle with reading or need help keeping up over the summer. Primary Reading Club – Tuesday’s from 3 to 4 pm – Children ages 4 to 8 – Listen to a story, participate in a fun activity, craft or game and receive prizes for reading. Junior Book Club – Thursdays from 3 to 4 pm – Children ages 9 to 12 – Enjoy weekly readings from short stories and chapter books, participate in a fun activity, craft or game and earn prizes by completing weekly challenges.
