Terence Haight Financial Assistance Committee Seeking one (1) new member to join the Committee Your role will be to review applications received under the Terence Haight Financial Assistance Policy and make recommendations to Council on the successful recipients and the amount of the assistance

FIRESMART INFO SESSION Gravenhurst firefighters are inviting the public to their Open House in conjunction with National Wildfire Preparedness Day this Saturday, May 7th from 11 am to 2pm, at the Ryde Fire Station, 1622 Barkway Road (next to the Ryde Co-op). Firefighters will share valuable information about a fire prevention program called “FireSmart”.
PROPOSED NOISE BY-LAW EXEMPTION An application for exemption to the noise Control By-law 86-43, and amendments thereto, has been received from OHL Canada construction for the following proposed road and bridge projects and will be considered by Gravenhurst Town Council: • •
Hwy 11 from 1.7km north of Severn River to 0.3km south of Taylor Rd. for 30.2km Muskoka Rd. 169 Ramp
The work will be conducted according to the following schedule: • • •
The construction season will extend from May through October of 2016; Work will not be permitted to occur on Sundays and statutory holidays; and Night-time construction will be required to minimize the overall duration of the work, to minimize impacts to traffic on Highway 11 and adjacent roads during peak periods, and to accommodate shifting between construction stages and paving on the Muskoka Rd.169 underpass.
