Each year property owners have the right to formally appeal their assessment. DO YOU WANT TO APPEAL YOUR ASSESSMENT? The deadline to file a Request for Reconsideration (RFR) to have your property assessment reviewed by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is March 31, 2016 for the 2016 taxation year. PUBLIC NOTICE TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Gravenhurst proposes to enact a by-law to close, stop up and sell those parts of the original shore road allowance described as follows: That part of the original shore road allowance in front of Lot 11, Concession 7, Township of Morrison, now Town of Gravenhurst, District Municipality of Muskoka, designated as Parts 1, 2 and 3 on 35R-25014 (Kahshe Lake) AND TO SELL that part of the original shore road allowance in front of lot 11, Concession 7, Township of Morrison, now Town of Gravenhurst, District Municipality of Muskoka, designated as Parts 1, 2 and 3 on 35R-25014, to the adjoining owner or owners of them. Pursuant to Section 122(7) of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.H.8 as amended, and in accordance with By-Law 2009-019, weight restriction on vehicles of 5 tons per axle on municipal roadways within the Town of Gravenhurst shall commence at 12:01 a.m. on the 14th day of March 2016 and remain in effect until the end of May. Reduced loads shall apply to all roads under the jurisdiction of the Town of Gravenhurst unless otherwise noted.
