NOTICE: Request for Proposals for Accessible Taxi Service The Town of Gravenhurst is currently seeking proposals from a person or company interested in providing an Accessible Taxi Service for the municipality. Persons/companies interested in providing this service must demonstrate their ability to meet the following requirements: 1.Ability to comply with the requirements of By-law No. 2005-30 (and amendments thereto) related to the provision of taxi services; 2.Compliance with the Ontario Highway Traffic Act and applicable Regulations; 3.Compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act; 4.Proof that the vehicle to be used is a “purpose built” vehicle that has met all requirements of the same; and 5.Confirmation that all drivers to be employed as accessible taxicab operators would meet legislated training requirements. Submissions must be received by the Town of Gravenhurst at the address below no later than Noon, Friday, May 29th, 2015. NOTICE: Proposed By-law to Extend Hours of Operation for Liquor Licensed Establishment (Boston Pizza) In accordance with the Liquor License Act, and applicable regulations, the Lieutenant Governor in Council may make regulations to prescribe the hours of sale for liquor. Under the same legislation (Section 62.1) “a municipality may pass by-laws extending the hours of sale of liquor in all or part of the municipality….” A request has been received from Boston Pizza (Gravenhurst) for Council to extend the hours of operation in which liquor sales may occur within the subject establishment for the period of May to October with the sale of liquor commencing at 10:00 a.m. instead of the already permitted 11:00 a.m. Persons wishing to provide comment on the proposed amendments should do so in writing to the undersigned no later than Noon Friday, May 22nd, 2015. REQUEST FOR PUBLIC MEMBERS THE TOWN OF GRAVENHURST OFFICIAL PLAN REVIEW ADVISORY COMMITTEE The purpose of this advertisement is to seek two (2) members of the public who are interested in serving on the Town of Gravenhurst Official Plan Review Technical Advisory Committee. The Town’s Official Plan Review Advisory Committee is comprised of two (2) members of the public, one (1) District of Muskoka designate and three (3) Staff members. The Committee will provide ongoing input to Council and the successful Consultant during the review process and will meet a minimum of three (3) times with the Consultant. Interested applicants shall be residents of Gravenhurst and should have a general interest in land use planning and the welfare of the overall community, as well as a desire to be involved in a process that affects landowners throughout the municipality. The Town is seeking applicants from all areas of the community, including urban, rural, and waterfront areas. Applicants should provide a letter, addressed to the undersigned, expressing interest, as well as a brief biographical outline (or resume) to the Town Office or via scott.lucas@gravenhurst.ca no later than 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015.
