Curbside garbage collection in Muskoka is now bi-weekly.

Sorted recycling and green bins will continue to be collected weekly.

The District Municipality of Muskoka encourages residents to avoid any inconvenience by referring to the Waste Management Guide to confirm scheduled collection days. Hello Community Stakeholders: Thank you to all who have participated in this important process thus far. We have received a significant amount of feedback from the Community to date which has been reviewed by the Council appointed Steering Committee. We now have a Draft Strategic Plan available for review. This Draft Plan synthesizes the community’s input and reflects the priorities and actions within municipal juristiction. There are still a number of important dates and deadlines of which we would like you to be aware. We wish to provide you with an opportunity to share your valuable suggestions, if you have not done so to date.

Saturday November 7 - Public Open House - Council Chambers at the Town Office (10 a.m. – 12 noon)

November 11th at 4 pm: The Great War Honour Roll: Faces and Stories Behind the Names with local historian, Judy Humphries.

November 28th from 10 am to 12 noon: Warm up and be cozy with holiday crafts and yummy hot chocolate at this special Family Fun Event. All ages welcome. December 2nd from 1 pm to 3 pm: Gravenhurst Library Christmas Open House. Join us for songs and storytelling that celebrate the season, as well as mouth watering morsels and hot apple cider.

November 16 to December 15: Help decorate our Mitten Tree with new warm winter items like mitts, hats and scarves. Donations will be distributed to the local Salvation Army, Food Bank and Women’s Resource Centre just in time for Christmas.
