TOWN OF GRAVENHURST - NORTH MORRISON LAKE ROAD PARKING LOT EXPANSION SCHEDULE B, CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT NOTICE OF STUDY COMMENCEMENT The Town of Gravenhurst is proposing to expand the existing North Morrison Lake Road Parking Lot. The proposed improvements include increasing the available parking by increasing the existing parking lot area, plus associated improvements to storm water drainage. The Town is proceeding with a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) to consider the impacts associated with the proposed improvements. The Class EA process will include the following: • Identify the problem and alternative solutions; • For each alternative, consider potential impacts to the noted environments and possible mitigating measures; • Public and agency consultation and participation; • Evaluate the alternatives based on the project objectives, environmental impacts and comments provided; and, • Identify a preferred solution, document the process in a Project File and make available for public review and comment. The purpose of this notice is to invite public and agency input and comment early in the study such that they can be incorporated into the planning and overall study design. Comments should be directed to the Consultant as noted below. A further opportunity for public input and comment will be provided at an upcoming Public Information Centre (PIC) during which time the various alternative solutions and assessment of each will be presented. Please watch the Town of Gravenhurst website for further details of the PIC, including format due to COVID-19.

The 2021 Final Tax Bills, for all property classes, were mailed out on or before July 7th, 2021. The tax due date is Tuesday, August 31st, 2021. The following payment options are available for the convenience of our taxpayers: BY MAIL Please make your cheque payable to the Town of Gravenhurst. Cheques postdated to August 31, 2021 will be accepted. All mail is date stamped upon receipt, this will be considered the date of payment. WHERE YOU BANK * By Teller, date of Teller’s stamp is date of payment. (A service charge may apply) * By ATM (Automated Teller Machine) * By Telephone or Internet Banking from the convenience of your own home 24 hours a day. Please contact your financial institution for more details. If your bank does not accept a 19 digit account number, the last four digits of your roll number “0000” may be omitted. Please allow 3-5 business days for your Financial Institution to forward your payment to the Town on your behalf. AFTER HOURS Payment may be made 24 hours a day at the municipal drop-off box, 3-5 Pineridge Gate, Gravenhurst. Please do not put cash in the drop-off box. If you have not received your bill, please contact the Town of Gravenhurst Tax Department immediately. Unfortunately, failure to receive a tax bill does not constitute reason for non-payment.
