How Many is Too Many? Ontario has never seen a year start off like 2022. The fire tragedies have just continued on from 2021 without a break. Since the new year we have experienced devastating residential fires resulting in tragic deaths and injuries. Why? What are the reasons for these life altering occurrences? We need to change this and change it immediately to END THE TREND.
r e m m u S Jobs! www.gravenhurst.ca/summerjobs
1. Have working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Test them once a month and change the batteries at least once a year. Or, as a simple reminder when you change the clocks – change the batteries. They can be a game changer.

2. Have a family escape plan. 3. Practice the family escape plan with all family members so they know how to react in the event of a fire. 4. Have a meeting place outside the home where everybody meets once outside. 5. Once you are out – STAY OUT! Do not go back inside. DO NOT be without any working smoke or carbon monoxide alarms! For residents of Gravenhurst, if you do not have the ability to purchase a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm, please call the Gravenhurst Fire Department at 705-687-3414. Working together, we can do it!
