TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Gravenhurst proposes to enact a by-law to close, stop up and sell those parts of the original road allowance described as follows: That part of the original road allowance in front of Lot 7, Concession 10, former Township of Morrison, now Town of Gravenhurst, District Municipality of Muskoka, designated as Part 2 on 35R-26815 (Kahshe Lake) AND TO SELL that part of the original road allowance in front of Lot 7, Concession 10, former Township of Morrison, now Town of Gravenhurst, District Municipality of Muskoka, designated as Part 2 on 35R-26815 (Kahshe Lake) THE PROPOSED BY-LAW will come before the said Council for consideration at its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 5:00 o’clock p.m. and at that time the Council will hear any person or by his Counsel, Solicitor or Agent, any person who claims that his lands will be prejudicially affected and who applies to be heard. Members of the Public are strongly encouraged to make written submissions concerning the application prior to the Public meeting, directed to the address below. The Public Meeting will be held ELECTRONICALLY in accordance with Section 238 of the Municipal Act, and the Town’s Procedural By-law. Members of the public wishing to make oral submissions to Council may do so through Zoom. CAMPFIRE SAFETY A small evening campfire with the kids can be a great time. But exercising a bit of common sense will make things safer, more fun and enjoyable. Remember that the Muskoka Fire Danger Rating Season is now in effect and there is no daytime burning permitted from April 1st to October 31st. Making sure there are no current Fire Bans in place or other fire restrictions is a priority before striking that match. Remember this as well, campfires do not have to be large to enjoy with family and kids. They are often harder to extinguish in the event of fire spread. Always have pails of water or sand close at hand in the event the fire does start to spread. Pay close attention to kids near the fire. Burns are very painful and can be very serious. Should somebody get a burn, place the injury under cool, running water or for a serious burn, seek medical attention immediately.
