The Town of Gravenhurst Legislative Services Department has resumed in-person marriage licences and commissioning services by appointment only. To book an appointment, please call 705-687-3412 or visit www.gravenhurst.ca and book an appointment online. You will be required to complete a COVID-19 Pre-Screening Form prior to entering Town Office. Preferred payment is by debit and credit card. Thank You.
SEVERE STORMS Summer weather brings the increased probability of severe storms to occur throughout our area. Severe weather such as thunderstorms, lightening, high winds, heavy rains, hail, and tornadoes can develop quickly and threaten life and property. These types of storms have potential to impact our community in many ways such as downed trees and branches, downed power lines and the loss of power, road closures, and damage buildings. Tips during the summer storm season: • Sign up for weather warnings from Environment Canada • Always check the weather forecast before heading out on the water • If you’re on the water and encounter severe weather approaching, head for shore immediately • If outdoors during a storm, take shelter immediately in a solid structure – if a shelter is not close by, go to a low lying area such as a ditch • If hail begins to fall, take cover.
