Purpose and Effect of By-Law 2021-33 On December 20th, 2016 the Town adopted the new Town of Gravenhurst Official Plan. The Plan was subsequently approved by the District Municipality of Muskoka on May 15th, 2017. Since that time, a number of By-law updates have been approved in order to ensure its conformity to the new Official Plan and to address housekeeping and other technical amendments. By-law 2021-33 is intended to clarify the intent of a number of regulations within the Zoning By-law and to remove duplication within it. In addition, further details and clarifications are proposed related to the installation and use of shipping containers. On land parking requirements have also been proposed for marinas, as these are currently missing from the by-law. A provision has also been added that would legalize all building permits that have been issued as of the date of the passing of this proposed amendment.
