Employment opportunity with the Town of Gravenhurst
The last of summers’ long weekends has pretty much arrived. Many minds are probably racing with thoughts of summer coming to an end and how you will celebrate. Will it be one last weekend camping, a long, scenic road trip or a weekend of yard work and tending garden? If the weather is good, why not take advantage of a weekend camping with family? Plan a family get together at the campground. After a day of family activities, slow it down with a great meal cooked on the barbecue. Whether it be a propane or charcoal fired grill, exercise the same amount of care and safety to protect everyone attending. Pay close attention to young children, ensuring they don’t get too close to the barbecues. Establish that 3 foot “Safe Zone” where children are not to enter. Burns are very painful and can be serious. But, if a burn does occur, place the injury under cool, running water. If in doubt, seek medical attention immediately. Do not let a preventable injury ruin your summer.
