If you haven’t already, have your heating system(s) including chimneys checked, inspected and cleaned as necessary by a competent, qualified agent. 2. Clean out the eaves and gutters of leaves, pine needles and other debris. 3. Most smoke and carbon monoxide alarms have a dated lifespan of 7-10 years. Check the expiry date on your alarms and replace according to the manufacturer specifications.
