JASON'S SOUTHERN GOSPEL NEWSLETTERS

The First Featured Group Of The Month The first feature group of the month is The Anchormen. Formed in 1979, the ANCORMEN have become one of the premier quartets in Christian Music. With over three decades in ministry they continue a rich heritage of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ delivered by very talented and spirit filled gentlemen. “We began singing in three or four states for the first five years of our ministry. In 1985, we were able to travel on a full-time scale. Even through personal changes and trials along the way God has kept his hand on the ministry of The Anchormen, says long-time baritone vocalist and co-founder, Terry Carter. Not only The Anchormen hope to bring joy to their listeners, the quartet's goal is to effectively lead audiences to a sincere knowledge of Christ through His music. The men of this quartet have made it their mission to stay faithful to the call placed on their lives. The members are Terry Carter (Baritone and Co-Founder), Chris Jenkins (Tenor), Will Lane (Bass), and Zach Cleghorn (Lead). To contact them is www.theanchormen.com. Don Mann

The Second Featured Group Of The Month The second featured group of the month is Jeff & Sheri Easter. For Jeff and Sheri, gospel music is genetically programmed into teir DNA. As members of acclaimed musical families---Jeff's father is one of the Easter Brothers and Sheri's mother is a member of The Lewis Family---they grew up surrounded by the sound of people praising God through their musical gifts. In 1984, both were at a Gospel Singing in Arkansas. Jeff took the opportunity to reintroduce himself to Sheri's mother Polly; they had met on a previous occasion. Polly introduced Jeff to Sheri and the two were married ten months later. Also joining Jeff & Sheri on the road is their daughter, Morgan, who joins them with vocals to round out the kind of harmonies that only family can produce. The youngest addition to the Easter Family is Maura Grace, Jeff & Sheri's 'twentieth anniversary gift to each other,' who generally makes her way onstage doing anything to bring a smile. To contact them at www.jeffandsherieaster.com. Don Mann
