The First Featured Group Of The Month The first feature group of the month is 7 Mile Road. They is one of Oklahoma's premiere Southern Gospel men's trio from the Tulsa, Oklahoma. They minister God's message in the words of their songs and by sharing their own life experiences. Each brings years of vocal experience blending in a unique and enjoyable musical style and presentation. The message they bring is that we all are walking our own 7 Mile Road, but there is One who...whether we yet see Him or not...IS walking that lonely road with us. We are not alone! The Second Featured Group Of The Month The second featured group of the month is Gordon Mote. Totally blind from birth, Mote's childhood in rural Alabama was not quite the same as other boys his age. Many challenges faced the yound lad, as well as his brother, who was also born blind. Nevertheless, the Mote family clung to the promises of God's Word, particularly Jeremiah 29:11. “Our parents always encoutaged my brother and me,” Mote remembers. “They believed we could excel in whatever we chose to do, as long as we placed Christ at the center of our goals and our lives, and that's what we did,” he says with a big smile. While performing on stage with many talented vocalists, Mote also became one of the most accomplished, sought-after recording studio session players in Music City, earning eight nominations as Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year by the Academy of Country Music, and reciving the Award in 2009 and 2011. Concerts Back Then On November 22, 2008 I went to UGMA OKC Metro Fourth Saturday Gospel Singing at Woodson Park Church Of The Nazarene on 2700 South Independence in Oklahoma City, OK with Haskell Cooley Family was there. I love this group. On November 7, 2015 I went to Del City Gospel Singing at Del City First Church of the Nazarene on 4701 Southeast 26th Street in Del City, OK with Paul's Journey had Rod Treme (Bass), Matthew Esquivel (Tenor), Brad Davis (Baritone), and Jamie Streetman (Lead) and Mark Huitt was there.
