There are all the traditional mortgage companies, and then there’s fiber.mortgage.

“There are a thousand ‘old school’ lenders who have done it the same way for 30 years, and then there’s fiber,” Dan Ribler begins.

“There are at least seven things we do for REALTORS® to help them find more closings. Only one of those seven involve sending business to a fiber loan officer,” says Dan.

While Dan didn’t share all of the “secret sauce” recipe, he mentioned that the team at fiber.mortgage has tools and support to help agents make the most of their lead generation efforts, improve their lead conversion performance, help their partners get their offers accepted in multiple offer scenarios, and in some cases, even compete with cash offers.

Seeking to Amaze

“Amaze more customers,” Dan continues. “That’s our mission statement. That’s what we’re all about here at fiber.mortgage. It’s just three words, but they are all massively important.”

“Amaze” means closing a loan in seven calendar days, not thirty. “Obviously, the buyers and the REALTORS® are the loan officer’s customers,” says Dan, “but we have internal customers too. Our loan officers are customers for the processors, and every fiber employee is a customer for me and the rest of the leadership team.”

Dan is one of the few mortgage broker-owners who doesn’t originate loans himself.

“I am licensed to originate, and I can write loans, but my focus is on making sure every customer is properly amazed. Any REALTOR® who sends a loan to a fiber LO absolutely gets my cell number. I tell everyone to call me if they aren’t getting ‘eleven out of ten’ service,” Dan smiles, “but my cell is pretty darn quiet on this front. I’m blessed to get to work with a truly amazing team at fiber.”

The fiber.mortgage Process

“We focus on building and constantly improving on a process that is pretty darn bullet-proof. It’s massively important to me that we never send a bad pre-approval and that our team takes the time to structure every file correctly.”

After each loan file has been submitted, the in-house loan processing team at fiber works every loan, every day.

“A lot of lenders and brokers use third-party processors. We would never entertain that idea here,” says Matt Brader, who oversees processing at fiber. “Not only is it more expensive for the buyers, but we’d have a lot less control over the consumer experience and origination process.”

The fiber team takes the loan process very seriously. The in-house processors truly are in-house. All processors come into the office every day to ensure everyone has enough support for every file to be processed cleanly.

“I’m really proud of the work our processors do,” Dan explains. “I think the purest grade of the quality of their work can be found in our online reviews.”
