(“Airing your shows” continued)
Programming Technical Standards
Technical standards apply to all programs, regardless of the point of origin. Members are required to follow each one. Note that FPA may reject any program that does not adhere to these standards. For details, please review the policies and procedures PDF manual. A copy is available online at www.fcac.org
Production
Producers can start the production process by reserving studios and equipment from the Equipment Room. Networking with other producers and volunteers is highly encouraged.
Post-Production
To maintain your time slot at FPA, producers need to turn in new episodes per the arrangements agreed in the pro-posal.
TV Airing & Time Slots
Television program length are 28 minutes or 58 minutes. If no new program is turned in over the course of 90 days, times lots can be removed or reassigned. To secure a new time slot or special, episodes have to be submitted by the 20th of each month by 12pm. The Director of Programming decides when and how many times a program airs. Slots are available for specials, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly programs.
Radio Airing & Time Slots
Radio slots are one-hour time slots (58 minutes) per week. However, Radio produces can request a live slot or a pre-recorded slot when submitting their proposal. Formats for pre-recorded programs are: CD or mp3 files.
For further information regarding slot requirements, contact the Programming Department at 571.749.1135.
