Sept. 22, 2010
Justin Brannon 121 West Hartman Ave. Stillwater, OK 74075 405-503-3968 Dear Editor, Oklahoma State University has a proud tradition of preparing students for successful careers and for providing them with a well-rounded foundation of skills and appreciation for the importance of mass communication in American society. To enhance its look and take steps toward a brighter future,
OSU’s School of Journalism and Broadcasting recently made a significant change with a name change of its school, School of Media and Mass Communications. This step is significant toward a brighter future in a fast paced changing technological environment. In order to make the public aware of this recent change, the School of Media and Mass Communications is having a flash mob to create awareness throughout campus to students, alumni, the city of Stillwater, surrounding areas and on the national level. Oklahoma State invites you to attend the flash mob on Sept. 30, 2010 on the corner of Athletic Avenue and Hester Street. The flash mob will follow immediately after the Spirit Walk, at 4:00 p.m. The students of the Oklahoma State School of Media and Strategic Communications invite you behind the scenes of the action for this exciting event to help promote the new school name. We ask that this announcement would be embargoed until after the event is held. Students of the School of Media and Strategic Communications look forward to seeing you on this great occasion. Thank you for your time and consideration, Justin Brannon
