design farmhouse 9 Design is that approach for me which approaches a naturalistic body as in Nature. God created some laws, I follow them. As man can get bored from everything but not from nature as design is a journey of discovery. For me the place I’m designing, that space should be must next to produce positive vibes.

udaipur | farmhouse design concept
My idea of designing my weekend home was to provide more and more of transparency in the house, a place where you can spend your weekend away from the hustle and bust of the City-life.
PLAN
1. Entrance 2. Parking 3. Foyer 4. Living /dining 5. Kitchen 6. Semi- open dinning 7. Common Toilet 8. Master Bedroom 9. Swimming Pool 10. Campfire 11. Garden 12. Badminton Court 13. Fruit Garden 14. Vegetable Garden
Thus, I have designed semi-open dining to enjoy the extrinsic beauty sitting inside only.
Consistent with emphatic naturalism, design was to be kept in view. The roof structure is a key component. Being at more practical side, I provided pitched roofs to control water evacuation & for the thermal balance.

naya kheda | primary health center
PHC are made universally accessible to individuals acceptable to them, through their full participation & at a cost the community & country can afford”. The compact and small-scale building distinguishes between a high-tech medical core and a low-tech surrounding layer. Primary healthcare center is a high-quality outpatient healthcare facility that intends to serve a group of agricultural villages in the vicinity.
Adopting a “building within a building” concept as a response to the extreme hot and dry climate of Naya Kheda, Rajasthan.
This small-scale edifice is an outstanding example for comparable building tasks in that region. The south side of building façade has vertical louvers which are screw topped with solar panels for gaining the sun’s radiations and then utilizing them in building.

chandigarh | artist’s residence
CONCEPT Every residency is guided by a vision that is distinctly its own. My mission is to be an incubation space for ideas, providing artists with a safe space to fail. Studio or working space is their living room as well as showing space. On the other hand, I also invent outdoor space for different activities and art performance. The interplay of volume and void, light and shadow, is a catalyst to allow artists and visitors to constantly explore and experiment in the outdoor community space. In other words, this complex becomes an alternative museum for living art creation and exhibitions.
The building is completely open / glass façade from North and East of building for the most beautiful light intake. Studio is designed upstairs while Gallery downstairs depending upon the no. of visitors and also Studio needs to be covered from dust, light and less disturbance. jayesh chauhan | academic portfolio 2015
Seeking a private outdoor space in home, I designed it with a courtyard. Due to incident solar radiation in a courtyard, the air gets warmer and rises. Cool air from the ground level flows through the louvered openings of rooms surrounding a courtyard, thus producing air flow. At night, the warm roof surfaces get cooled by convection and radiation. Circular walls provide correct perspective for visitors to look at.

jaipur | sr. sec. school concept
Architecture is a visual art, and the buildings speaks for themselves-thus keeping in my mind, I promoted Contemporary Architecture in my design.
This building form responding appropriately to the climate of the area also creates an interesting range of open and covered spaces, which facilitate social interaction and multiple uses – the Centered Amphitheatre serving as wonderful gathering space also accessible in day time.
The building is very modest and simple in plan. All the functions are arranged linearly along the length of the building. Building has been bifurcated in two sections i.e., North for Secondary Wing & South for Primary Wing. In this case, the Primary Wing is taller than Secondary Wing in order to provide mutual shading. The six classroom blocks are placed linearly on site, oriented in the north-south direction, to minimize heat gain and maximize views to landscape. This forms the compact footprint of the building, making it easily accessible from the tree lined avenue in the front. Sandstone as a construction material. I have created pockets containing trees between classrooms and corridor to avoid disturbance in classrooms through a visual barricading that also provides coolness on the floor. jayesh chauhan | academic portfolio 2015

udaipur | commercial complex concept
A historic street bazaar and a modern transportation network for a congested city have to find common ground in a newly designed commercial space. After all, what is the city, but its people!
The spatial and architectural design of this space draws inspiration from the strong context it finds itself in; both historically and functionally., G R O U N D

Additional conveniences like food court, washrooms, fire escapes, parking, service stairs, loading/unloading bay, ducts for modern services also natural airconditioning created by designing a dome etc. have all been accommodated and well planned.
S E C T I O N
Considering the hot and dry climate of Udaipur, the concept of the building is an interesting one- The idea behind designing dome is that the warm air rises up ,thus creating vacuum in the atrium by hauling air from walls, the walls which are designed in a funnel shape producing funnel effect thus the air drawn is cooler. Dome made is half wood and half glass, i.e., north –east side with glass and south- west with wood. Wood is placed with octagonal groves in it, which passes maximum light in building as sun remains in west whole day rather than morning which gives a full patched light. Elements like projected shading devices, projected slabs, jacketing, indoor plants and water body to maintain the thermal temperature. jayesh chauhan | academic portfolio 2015
The design claims to draw it success based on the following salient features; - varieties of sizes are designed for shops, catering to the fact that not all shop types have the same space needs. Further, the three floors as well as the ground floor have been designed to suit the needs of the majority of shops, giving maximum number of shops on ground floor, institutional and financial shops on first floor, and offices on further floors in existing complex. Hawkers have been allocated kiosk spaces interspersed in between retail shops to maintain the economic ecology that exists in every Indian bazaar. Single loaded corridors have been designed for comfortable movement of visitors and reduction in unhealthy competition between shop businessmen. This has also been used to create a relevant design environment to reflect the art deco style of architecture with a wide atrium, to enhance mutual clients for maintaining economics of business. The complex is accessible by road. Wood, glass & concrete are the E construction materials recommended. L E V A T I O N

the boat
The purpose behind making the boat was that I got this task at the time of college exhibition which was also celebrated on Republic Day thus I decided to use the color of our flag in main head of boat. I was also able to develop the concept of respect and care for the environment by reinforcing the concepts of recyclable and non-recyclable materials like using natural bamboo, it is not only elegant but also ecofriendly combining with stunning architectural elements just made for a relaxed style.
journey of life
The aim was to cover the three floors i.e., ground, first & second floor. Thus, I being the team captain along with my team decided to create a large web of threads with concept of negative and positive which signifies that keeping positive thinking isn’t about expecting the best to happen every time but, accepting that whatever happens is best for this moment. The web predicting the discontent & frustration that you feel is entirely your own creation. Finally, such positive people always attain victory in their journey of life.
banyan tree
The banyan tree was again a large scale project handled by me which was made using the cut outs of paper from other side with the concept of negative-positive. The idea behind choosing the banyan tree was as ’Desire may be compared to a minute seed. It is like a big banyan tree growing out of a seed, which is no bigger than a dot.
buddha
The idea of making Siddhartha's Gautama in college canteen was to give away the message of remaining calm and relaxed as Buddha. Also predicting that living beings create their own misery and joy. Finally, if we discovered the way to end all these sufferings we are filled with a radiant clear light. I kept in mind the use of material which is recyclable and do not cause harm to nature in any aspect, thus I used newspapers.

bio “To follow, without halt, one aim: that’s the way I work.” My goals and aims are as keen as bull’s eye. When I start working I put my heart and my soul into my work. I believe that time is never lost that is devoted to work which helps me proceeding ahead successfully. My way of handling some work is different, I divide the stage of solving something in two stages1) to research more and more to deal with the task, 2) I skip the initial thoughts, just to go more deep into the thing I’m working. My focus determines my reality. I practice the 101 Percent Principle. Whenever possible, find the 1 percent and do agree on in a difficult situation, and finally I give my 100% effort. I don’t work for the sake of marks, I work to rejoice, to enjoy. I never give up or lose hope for something really want, as I experienced- it’s difficult to wait, but it’s more difficult to regret. I keep working until there is no scope left for improvement, ‘and thus I never stop working.”
