statement of intent In this project I intent to cover my widest range of skills. I am trying something I haven’t done before, however it is something I am very capable of because it is graphic design based. I am confident I can produce a good packaging design and advertise professionally. I want to create a recognisable confectionary brand, aimed at younger children, particularly girls. I am hoping that my brand will be traditional but fresh, I don’t want to produce something that has already been done, I want to create something new and something that fits with the 2012 trends. In this 10 week period I intend to design and create three or more different types of sweets or just focus on one, I will decide during my design process. I will design the packaging for my new confectionary sweets, individually e.g: the separate lollipop wrappers and the boxes that hold 12/24 lollipops in. I will then do the advertising to promote my new confectionary sweets. Finally I will design a traditional stall and mock up a smaller version of what my stall will look like to sell the confectionary. I will also use this as a way to present my final designs in the FMP exhibition we will be holding at Bury College. This will give people a better understanding of how traditional advertising is more attractive than a lot of the sweet brands today. It’s simple and clear, it’s a brand that will stick in your head, purely because of the what I plan to be, a minimalist design. My aim is to create a sweet that children can enjoy without harming their teeth. I will have to come up with and interesting but attractive way to make parents want to buy their children my sweets.

current sweets

note to self One issue about creating a new sweet brand aimed at kids is the issue they have with their parents. I want to design something that will make parents ditch the old sweets and start buying mine. This will only happen if I create something that maybe natural or sugar free. I need something appealing towards parents so they will want to buy it for their children. One of my ideas is to make the sweets sugar free. I think this will make them more appealing to parents as well as the children wanting the sweets. The character of my brand I think will be the main focus of my brand, I want it to be similar to the frosties tiger, it’s persuasive and makes healthy food more appealing to kids. Lilypop is a name I thought of when doing a brainstorm for a charactered lolipop. I chose it because it has the work “pop” in it, which is relative, it also starts with the letter L, which sounds like lollipop. The fact that my brand is a charater makes it more memorable for children because they learn by pictures and grow up watching cartoons and TV characters. My next stage is to research and design a logo that fits the name “Lillypop”.

This is the home page of the Mulberry Website, I like it beacuse it’s very similar to the style of my project, it has gven me some inspiration as to designing something unique but what is also in trend with Spring fashion. My retro Lillipop sweets will be quite iconic because of their vinage look. This style will help me keep focused on the end product, I want my final show display to be very fun fair orientated, it will be colourful and I will also think about ocking up some large sweets like these pieces of rock, this will make my display stand out.

LOGO RESEARCH Logo design is a very important part of owning a brand or business. It’s the face of the service/ business which customers and clients can easily to relate to. It has to be simple, memorable, timeless, versatile and appropriate to the brand or company it is representing. A good design means good business, therefore I need to create a suitable and fun logo to represent my confectionary brand. Looking into other sweet brand logos and packaging designs they are all very colourful, this makes it attractive for all different age categories, especially children who sweets are mostly aimed at For my design I will keep it colourful but using appropriate colours to reflect on my style of confectionary. I want my sweets to be enjoyed by everybody, however going with the plan that’s in my head I think this will lean towards younger girls because the colour pink is typically aimed at girls and women. I already have an idea of what logo I will design to be the face of my confectionary brand. However I will explore the different types of logo branding to decide a final design which will fit my company best. I need to design something girly, recognisable and relative. One of my favourite logo designs is the mooneyes logo, its used text, image and colour, its recognised globally as the face of one of the best hot rod hardware stores since the 1950’s.

LOGO RESEARCH

LOGO RESEARCH 2012 London Olympics. Described as the “oh no logo”. A lot of upset was caused by this logo. A lot of people hated it, a lot of people loved it. This is a logo which took a year to design and has to help raise £2bn of private money to pay for the running of the Games. So there were some understandable nerves among the London 2012 organisers when they unveiled it. They talked a lot about this logo being appealing to the younger generation. “When a young person comes to London, they see things outside their realm they aspire to, not things they know.” Also “It promises the younger generation a different Olympics, a fun Olympics. It’s interesting that it will work as animated as well as static.” I think the purpose of this logo was lost in trying to impress the young generation, when it’s actual purpose is to be the face of the London Olympics. I don’t think it has any relevance to the Olympics apart from the year 2012 and the Olympics logo that has already been designed. They colours are very contrasting which sometimes doesn’t work well. However this logo has been around since 2007 when it was first announced and I believe that it has successfully grown on the nation as the face of the London Olympics 2012.

LOGO RESEARCH Nestle Nestle is the world’s largest food and nutrition company. They range from chocolate products to coffee beans and milkshake. I chose to look at this logo because it is in a close food category to my confectionary brand. I have looked at some of nestle’s different foods and the packaging designs and found some items I didn’t know where owned by Nestle. This might be because the branding isn’t noticeable enough on the packaging. I like the design of this logo because it is very simple. I think that simple logos are the best style, they’re easy recognisable and easily remembered and if a customers remembers you, it’s a good design. The shape of this logo is unique, it’s swift and shows movement even though its a still image. The text font is simple and easy to read which makes it well recognised. One thing I want my logo to have is a simple design, however unlike this one I want it to be interesting and attractive to children. This logo isn’t particulary aimed at children, however their products are not just aimed at children, they are aimed at the whole age market.

LOGO RESEARCH This is a less known logo, it one I found looking through logopon.com, It drew my attention as one of the better more complex logos. It’s good becvause it has both image and text in the design. I find it an attractive logo because of mainly the colour, confectionary logos should be soft pastel colours. I think they are more appealing to the eye, more traditional and appealing. The softness of the colours also make you trust the brand, sometimes muli-coloured designs look tacky and off putting with the wrong brand. This logo has given me inspiration to create a soft, yet still eye-catching logo design. I haven’t decided if I am including a text yet. I have an idea for an image based logo design. For my brand and target market I think that image will probably be the best. One thing I will take from this logo is the colour of the pink. It’s a very calm pink and very fitting towards my brand. I want to use soft colours but still keep it colourful, so contrasting soft colours will work well, like this logo. We ususally think contrasting colours are bright and “in your face” however that’s not always the case and this is a good example of contrasting soft colours.

LOGO RESEARCH Chupa Chup This is one of my favourite confectionary logo designs. Aside the fact that I love their lollys, I think this logo is evecatching and extremely recognisable. Even though its got text that most young children can’t read, it’s still a very recognised logo because of the colours and thew shape. Even though I go on about high contrasting colours and designs that hurt our eyes, these colours work well with the appropriate brand. I like the shape of this logo, it’s simple even with the curved edges. I like the way its circular, I like al circular logos because they’re neat and clean. With logos like this, everything is held together within the shape. I want my logo to be circular, I think it’s a good shape to work with, if I produce the logo I am picturing it will work well as a good healthy confectionary eating character.

LOGO RESEARCH Vanilla Cloud Ice Cream This is a very cute logo, it’s typically sweet and simple. The first thing I noticed was the cloud, this obviously represents the ice cream because of the shape. And the cornet, which I didn’t notice straight away is the letter “V”. I really like the cleverness with letters and images included in this logo, however because of the good design I think that it could be used as a image based logo alone, if it was well known enough it wouldn’t need the text because the image explains the brand name. One problem with this logo design is the colour, I like soft, innocent colours however the yellow in this is tough to read. However I like the pink, it’s a very popular colour with small less known confectionary companies. Also, the V is a little too thick and I think it should be the same width as the ice cream/ cloud. This wold make it more of a consistent logo and a great design to represent a tasty brand!

LOGO RESEARCH Haribo The haribo kid is a great sweet icon for kids. The logo it’s self is just text based but it’s such a well known brand globally it doesnt need much else. The packaging ususally had the word “HAribo” across the top of the packet or across the boxes in different colours according to the design and type of sweet packet. I like the idea of the haribo kid, it makes it child friendly and obviously aimed at children. However, Haribo TV adverts are advertising the confectionary brand to be aimed at adults too. I think brands with characters work better for children because they are memorable, and more enjoyable for children. This is why I decided to create a haracter based logo, because the logo will always be remembered by the character’s face. I have looked a few different types of branding characters and I think this is a great way to represent my childrens confectionary brand.

LOGO RESEARCH NOLA Sweets This logo is one I found on logopond.com. I chose to look at this one because of the colour. I think it is traditional and classic looking. This logo will probably represent a brand which is aimed more at adults because of the sophisticated colours and fonts. As much as I like this logo, I think is better suited to a chocolate brand rather than a sweet brand because of the deep colours, as you would usually associate bright/ light colours with sweets. I like the shape of this logo, It’s straight lines and shading makes it look more advanced as a sophisticated logo. My logo wont be using these kinds of colour in my logo because my brand is more of a sweet candy floss pink brand, these colours would be simply inappropriate. The shape of the logo however is interesting and I will experiment with similar shapes, even though I have an idea to use a circular shape, this could work out better if I try it.

LOGO RESEARCH Heavenly sweet & things I like this logo because of the colour, I have been looking out for logos which will be similar designed and colours to what I want my logo to look like and I think these colours are nice. I like the way no black has been used, black is usually a very bold colour against soft ice cream colours and I think the choice of a dark brown is complimenting to this pink. This is a good way to outline parts of the design without it dominating the image. The fonts used with this logo are quite plain and boring I think they could have used a more exciting font for the work “heavenly” I also don’t like the way the words “sweets and things” have no capital letters. The text and the image look like separate images, they don’t look like the same logo because of the distance between them. One idea I will take from this logo is the way the deep brown colour is used indtead of black, this may or may not work well with my logo.

LOGO RESEARCH Red Bull This logo is assosiated with the Red Bull Energey drink, the most popular energy drink in the world. A lot of people know it through different kinds of sports, mostly motor racing. Red Bull has an aggressive international marketing campaign. The numerous sponsored activities range from extreme sports like mountain biking, BMX, motocross, windsurfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, kayaking, wakeboarding, cliff-diving, surfing, skating, freestyle motocross, rally, Formula 1 racing, and breakdancing to art shows, music, and video games. I like this logo because it has a good strong obvious text and font. The colours are important and usually go against a blue background which contrasts the logo and makes it look even stronger. I also like the choice of colour around the bulls, the mustard yellow stroke is a better choice than say yellow, yellow tends to be too bring and would make the three colours contrast too much. There’s nothing I dislike about this logo, I think it’s good and consistant, and the rare changes in this design make it more recognisable on shelves and as sponsors on racing decals.

LOGO RESEARCH Baked by Betsy This is a fun logo, I like the way a custom font has been designed and edited to make it more advanced than just using a font that is already designed. This is a nice way to make a text based logo interesting. I like the way the letters and additional lines swoop together to make a heart shape. I also like the way the letter “B” is used as the beginning letter for both the words “baked” and “betsy. This shows someone has sat down and thought about how to put together the text that fits together to make in interesting piece of typography. I know I want my logo to be image based, with some text along side but not always to be assosiated with the image. I will play about with some different typographical ideas to see if this kind of logo could be suited to my confectionary brand.

font RESEARCH ROSEWOOD STD

I chose to look at this font because it’s used a lot in fun fair art. The font reminds me of some of the gypsy adverts I have seen at Blackpool. This is quite an appropriate font to use in my designs. I will experiment with this font in some adverts I will later design.

Brannboll Fet

I think this font is really pretty, I think it will be a good font to use for the title of Lillipop along side my logo. This is also the bold version of the font so I could also use it and decide depending on what the design looks like whether it would suit being bold or regular.

romantiques I think I downloaded this font from DaFont.com. I chose it because I think it could be useful in my designs because it is in theme with my project. I think this font could be used on some of my adverts or could be incorporated in some of my packaging ideas.

JFRringmaster This is quite similar to two of the other fonts I have looked at, however I think this is the best one because it’s not too complicated like the Romantiques font, but a little more detailed compared to Rosewood.

food characters I’ve looked into food characters because I think it’s a good way to make a brand memorable. I noticed a lot of brand with characters are usually for kids foods, obviously because adults are not interested in cartoons anymore. They are a good way of attracting the younger generation into trusting a product or brand. I want to design my own food character because I think for my brand it will represent it in a way that will be recognised by young and old people. I also think its a good way to advertise and promote my brand with an attractive design.

logo development I am looking at clown faces to keep with the circus/ fun fair theme of my project. A lot of children don’t like clowns and are in fact very scared of them even though they are kids entertainers. This is why I want my logo to be a cute, innocent take on the clown face, something that will represent my brand in a way that will make children love clowns! I want to incorporate a clown face into my work because obviously I want to keep the fun fair theme, but I also think clowns have very distinctive features which will make my logo more recognisable. I think the best way I can achieve this design is by making my logo circular shaped, because I think they are the best shape to work with and I can make some promo badges and stickers to promote my brand. This is something I could do if it was a live campaign.

logo development I started by playing around with different shapes and came to the decidion that I like circle logos best, I also think they are the more interesting to work with because they can be used in so many ways (lid of packaging/end of stick of rock, the pattern through). I drew a few different hairstyles and Chose the two I liked best and worked with them. I want my logo to represesent a girly friendly clown. This way I am keeping with my circus/ funfair theme and it will be obviously aimed at girls. To decide on the face of this logo I drew a few different types of eyes and lips I knew I wanted a face which ones of the eyes winked. After deciding on which face I liked best I then took the drawing into illustrator and traced my sketch. The face of my design was heavily influenced by the clown face. I wanted to incorporate happy clowns in my project some how, and this is how I have done it.

logo development I put all of my favourite parts of the face together and this is the design I like the most. I then took this rough dawing into illustartor and used it as a template to trace. I used the pen tool to create the outlines of the face, I then filled in the parts of the face using the swatch tool, picking out the most appropriate colours to match my circus theme. This logo is almost exactly how I imagined it, however the final outcome is better than I imagined which makes me proud of this design. Now I have a final logo design I can progress to the next stage of my project which is to design my sweets and package them, once I’ve done that I can them move on to my final designs which will be the advertisment posters. So far this is a big chunk of my project out of the way, I can now focus on mocking my ideas together using this circular shape to create some unique packaging. I’m glad my final logo is circle because I think its a really great shape to work with.

confectionary packaging During my research for packaging design I will be looking for different ideas and ways to make my branding and packaging unique and different to what is currently being designed. What I want it design is something that is crafty and has more than one use. For example I had a thought of a packet of rock having another use, once all the sweets have been eaten, the remaining box can be used for a money box or a stationary pencil case. I think this is a good idea because the product buyer can then have another use for the packaging instead of throwing it away. I then had another idea for the use of the remaining packaging as a money box, it will have a coin slot in the top for when it’s empty. An attractive pink striped box will match almost all little girl’s rooms. I also had another idea for my lillipop lollipops; inspired by the chupa chup lollipop dispensers, I will design my own lollipop dispenser based on a circus theme. I have sketched out a few ideas and I am thinking of making a scaled 3D model of this for my final exhibition piece. I think this will represent my brand well and make people understand where the theme comes form.

wayne thiebaud Wayne Thiebaud is an American painter whose most famous works are of cakes, pastries, boots, toilets, toys and lipsticks. He is associated with the Pop art movement because of his interest in objects of mass culture, although his works, executed during the fifties and sixties, slightly predate the works of the classic pop artists. Thiebaud uses heavy pigment and exaggerated colors to depict his subjects, and the well-defined shadows characteristic of advertisements are almost always included in his work. I love his work because funfair and colourful things tend to be very bold, however his work is still colourful but the way he uses his paint makes his work unique. Funfair art and work is usually very precise with extremely bold colours and sharp clean lines. This is why I am perticulary fond of his work, because he’s different. I like the style and will experiment with different paints and textures to see if I can design something for Lillipop in this style. I think this could be a really good style to use for some of my packaging designs.

wayne thiebaud Thiebaud is well known for his paintings of production line objects found in diners and cafeterias, such as pies and pastries. Many wonder if he spent time working in the food industry, and in fact he did. As a young man in Long Beach, he worked at a cafe named Mile High and Red Hot, where “Mile High” was ice cream and “Red Hot” was a hot dog. He was associated with the Pop art painters because of his interest in objects of mass culture, however, his works, executed during the fifties and sixties, slightly predate the works of the classic pop artists, suggesting that Thiebaud may have had an influence on the movement. Thiebaud uses heavy pigment and exaggerated colors to depict his subjects, and the well-defined shadows characteristic of advertisements are almost always included in his work. In addition to pastries, Thiebaud has painted landscapes, streetscapes, and popular characters such as Mickey Mouse. His paintings such as Sunset Streets (1985) and Flatland River (1997) are noted for their hyper realism, and are in some ways similar to Edward Hopper’s work, who was fascinated with mundane scenes from everyday American life.

Martin parr Martin Parr (born 24 May 1952) is a British documentary photographer, photojournalist and photobook collector. He is known for his photographic projects that take a critical look at aspects of modern life, in particular provincial and suburban life in England. He is a member of Magnum Photos. Parr’s approach to documentary photography is intimate and tacky. Macro lenses, ring flash, high-saturation colour film, and since it became an easier format to work in, digital photography, all allow him to put his subjects “under the microscope” in their own environment, giving them space to expose their lives and values in ways that often involve inadvertent humour. I like his approach to documentary, his work at the fun fair and the beach reminds me of Blackpool pleasure beach, and has inspired me to go and take some pictures there myself to use as development towards my project. Doing this I can look at the different fonts and colours used at the fun fair to plan my final circus theme designs. This will help me during development because I will get more of an idea of how to illustrate my Lillipop ideas in a fun, exciting way.

Interesting packaging Designed by Chez Valois | Canada “Express and evoke the pleasure of gastronomy, while depicting the enthusiasm, passion and humour of the colourful Point G’s chief proprietors.” I found this design on lovelypackage.com. I really like the uniqueness of the way this package opens. Before you break the box open, it has a great shape and handle, it’s practical to carry, when you put it down it is balanced well because of the flat bottom and the pyramid shape. I like the colour of the box, very simple and appropriate to the product type. It draws your attention to the product. When it is open, the macarons are presented on small shelves, I think it’s a neat idea however it’s not practical or realistic that the macarons will stay on the shelves when being carried from one place to the other, because they are loosely balanced on the shelves in the box. However I like the cleverness of this box design and it has given me some ideas as to how I am going to design my box to hold some of my lillipop products.

Interesting packaging “Fat Pig is a totally organic milk chocolate bar and is currently available in one flavor: delicious. It has none of the bitter aftertaste of regular milk chocolate nor is it cloyingly sweet: it’s just pure, creamy excess.” Designed by the Brooklyn Brothers in USA. I like this design because of the size, simplicity, shape and colour. It’s designed with a pig nose which obviously represents the name “Fat Pig”. The colour of the design, even though it is pink, it is not only appealing towards women and girls, it’s designed where both men and women can enjoy it, I think this is because of the name of the brand. I like the packaging design for this brand, I like the portion sizes of the chocolate bars, they’re a perfect size for a snack. The design is good, on the website for Fat Pig chocolate people have sent their pictures in with the chocolate covering their nose, this is a good way to advertise using your customers.

Interesting packaging Designed by Imaginarte | Country: Spain “This sales dossier is sent to potential selling points to make them fall in love with the “Emosi” concept toys. If you feed them with the included cutout thematic “wishes”, these “fabric psychologists” will help you with the problems and stress of everyday life. The packaging has been conceived as a real “eye-candy” with a glittery pink surface. What you can find inside is a well-packaged Emosi toy and a dossier formed by independent sheets that allow a great degree of customization depending on the recipient.” I found this design on lovelypackage.com. What caught my attention with this design was the circular stickers you get with this toy. It gave me an idea for a way of packaging my lillipop lollipops in a fun way. I thought that I could design some of my own stickers with the lillipop logo face. Children love stickers and having them as an added extra with the sweets makes them want them more. Doing this also gets the name Lillipop around. I don’t like this packaging design because they colour pink is too bright, it looks like a box for something you would buy as a computer accessory, not a squishy toy.

Interesting packaging Designed by D. Studio | Country: United Kingdom “Burnt Sugar is a boutique brand of fudge with humble beginnings. Started by Justine Cather, who nabbed her mum’s recipe and took it to market (London’s famous Borough Market to be precise), word soon got out about the delicious lumpy, bumpy pieces of sweetness and its popularity soared. I love the idea and packaging of this brand. I love how with each different type of fudge, there’s a different illustration. The illustrations don’t use a font anywhere on the packet, even down to the recycle logo. I like the fact that when you open the lid of the packing there’s a little suprise for the customer to discover. These idividual elements of the design make it unique and original, which makes it attractive to the customer because of the quality.

Interesting packaging Designed by Cory Etzkorn | United States “What’s fit for the oval office, flyer than Airforce One, and Stronger than the U.S. dollar? The Original PepperMint, of course! These federal-reserve-fresh mints come in two delicious and highly stylized varieties sure to please your inner capitalist. I like this packaging design because firstly the textures used, on the “winter mint” logo there’s a black print like texture which really makes this package interesting. A lot of things you see on shelves are very minimalist, I like minimalist however with the right brand and company, effects like these can make a design look really traditional. This is a good way to make a brand unique and has given me some ideas on how to make my packaging look textured and interesting. I am going to experiment with different textures, paints and prints. This way I will collect some ideas that I could then take forward to use on my final designs.

Interesting packaging Designed by Bora Mesut Palas | Country: Turkey “Logo, illustration and packaging for my package design class at Marmara University – Faculty of Fine Arts. Tatlı Şeyler (Turkish for “Sweet Things”) was an imaginary client who’s about to release some bakery decoration products like cocoa, sesame and coconut. These are the two alternatives I’ve done (metal cylinder and regular box) for the cocoa version.” I think this is an attractive packaging design because of the small illustrations on the boxes. I like the colour theme, it’s appropriate to the brand because brown is the colour of cocoa. I like how this is different to most cocoa packaging which usually take the dark colours approach. This looks like part of a baking selection because of the light cream colour used. In my approach to a unique packaging design I will use this as inspiration towards small illustrations that I could try out on my designs. This could look quite effective with my confectionary brand.

Interesting packaging Designed by Creneau International | Country: Belgium “Dark and pure, rich and honest, funny and crazy … as long as it says Barú on the outside, you know you’re in for a delicious treat. Drawing inspiration from Barú’s finest fluffy, swirly and nutty chocolates and sipping from their sensational chai tea, Creneau International designed a range of packaging that put the funk back in the chocolate and the glee back in the tea. What struck me more about this packaging design was the red and white striped package. I like it because it fits in with my fun fair theme and out of all the four different chocolate powder packages I think this one stands out the best. This is a simple design and I like minimalist designs. My original idea for my brand was to have a simple striped pattern however during this researching process I have found some really interesting designs that have inspired me to do something different to my original thoughts. I like the fonts used in this design. They are perfect for the brand as it’s very modern and clean. In my designs I will experiment with different fun fair fonts that are more interesting and complex.

Interesting packaging Designed by studio AG | Country: United States I love the traditional style of these packages. The labels are especially nice. This is something I would think about doing with my designs. They look classic and quality. I also love the colours used in the picture on the right. They are perfectly unique and look expensive. I am going to look into label designs because they work really well with this company. They make a design look more trust worthy and better quality because that little bit of extra thought has gone into the presentation. When I design labels for my packaging I need to remember my target market, because these look very sophisticated and professional, this may not be as attractive to children as a simple playful idea would.

Interesting packaging Designed by Joakim Norman | Country: Sweden These are chocolate business cards, which I think its a genius idea, they have a golden ticket inside which contains the information for her company on. I like think Willy Wonka style idea for this. However obviously Willy Wonka uses lots of different colour and texts, this is simple and the letters are in classic Swedish candy bag-paper style. I like how she has approached this, she’s obviously done her research, used her influences and re-designed to fit her personal own work. I’ve chosen to look at this design because I like things that are a little different and have mole to offer than the product it’s self. E.g a chocolate bar with a golden ticket inside, or my idea of a lollipop with a set of stickers in the wrapping. It makes the customer feel like they’re getting more for their money. They are also a more interesting product. I am really interested in the packaging of this chocolate, I think if I were to package my own Lillipop chocolate, I would use this idea and have a row of stickers in replacement of the golden ticket.

Interesting packaging Designed by Vincent Wade | Country: United Kingdom “This packaging of tomato and brown sauce was inspired by the wrestling and wrestlers of World of Sport, which aired on Saturday afternoons from 1965 to 1985 on ITV. Some of the wrestlers became household names in the UK, the most famous being Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks.” What I like about this packaging is the use of texts and fonts. It’s an effective design because there is no image or illustration used, simply just words. I like the wittiness of the text, the different names “silly sausage” and “lumpy mash” it makes it silly and yet still being an attractive professional package. The stars and colours on this design make it look like it could belong to a circus theme company. Which has given me an idea for an interesting approach towards my Lillipop packaging, I will experiment with different fonts and texts to see if I can come up with some attractive designs which are purely typographically based.

design ideas Typographic Designs with Watercolour - Sasha Prood This was a design for Harper Collins, Bon AppĂŠtit Magazine. I found this work on Behance Network. I researched the artist and found more of her work in this style. I particularly love this piece because of the font and the colours, the font is partly custom and I am capable of doing something similar to this myself. The colours are interesting because the are blotchy and mixed. I think to achieve this effect myself I will have to experiment a few times before I scan in my final piece. To get the perfect lines and fonts I will need to make a stencil. I have a friend who will make me one with a vinyl cutter so I can get the lettering really neat. Her style interested and influenced me into experimenting with some watercolour lettering. It has a hand made feel to it and I think it would fit my brand well. I will experiment with different colours because obviously the colour blue is not appropriate for my brand. However I will work with colours other than pink, lilacs and soft mint, lots of different ice cream colours, keeping with the theme of fun fair and circus.

design ideas I have a friend who is a custom painter and works a lot in design, I got in touch too see if he knew the best way for me to make a stencil to create a similar design to the artist Sasha Prood. I sent him an illustrator file and he made me a stencil with a vinyl cutter. I stuck the stencil to paper and then painted into the gaps with my watercolours, the first time I tried it with the stencil I did the colours too dark, so the second time I tried I used a lot more water in my watercolour mix. I really like the way they came out, it was an experiment and I wasn’t sure how well they would turn out, what I like most is that the lines aren’t completely sharp, tiny bits of watercolour have bled under the stencil lines and given it an in-perfect look. It looks more hand made and I think it is a nice comparison to something designed on the computer. With these designs now I will try and incorporate them in some way into either my packaging designs or my typographical advertisements, I think it will defiantly look a lot different to the usual adverts for sweets and chocolate that we see.

PAGKAGING DEVELOPMENT I have collected together a number of items which will help me mock together my final packaging design. I have a large tall tube which I will use to put together a lolly dispenser, the tube is something I got from a packaged photograph and the plant pot lid I bought from hobby craft. I bought some graft sticks and circular shaped wood so that I can make my lollipops. These lollipop will fit into some slots that I will make in the upsidedown plant pot. Another idea I had for the packaging of the lillipop rock is a smaller tube with a screw lid, this would have a coin slot on the top which could then be used as a coin box when the rock is all gone. Again with the box of loose sweets I have designed a concept where after the sweets are all gone the packaging is not wasted and the box is used as a small jewellery box, this is why I have bought the mirrors and the wooden jewellery box.

PAGKAGING DEVELOPMENT

PAGKAGING DEVELOPMENT

PAGKAGING DEVELOPMENT These are my final Lillipop lollies and I will use these particular mock ups to use for my lolly dispenser. To make these I used some lolly sticks and some round shaped wood, I bought them from hobbicraft and they are the perfect size for my lolly dispenser. I then created a sheet full of Lillipop faces and then printed them on photo satin paper. I cut them out and stuck them onto the sticks that I made. To stick them all together I used a glue for wood. I originally tried it with a pritt stick however the glue wasn’t strong enough and it didn’t hold everything together. I will also use these lollipops while mocking up my final stand for the end of year show. I will have my Lillipop lollipops lined up in the front of my stall. As a way of presenting my brand as if it were a real confectionary brand. The next stage of this design is to create the dispenser, I have drawn what I’d like it to look like but I’m limited on materials as a plastic case around the lollies will be hard to find and put together. Therefore I will go as far as I can making it look interesting and professional.

Dispenser DEVELOPMENT This is the start of putting my lolly dispenser together. I used a cardboard plant pot which I bought at hobbicraft, ans a long packaging tube. I had the packaging tube from something I had bought and found it was the perfect size. To start with the mock up, I had to think what I could put together what would look as close to my original drawing as possible. This is the start of putting my lolly dispenser together. I used a cardboard plant pot which I bought from hobbie craft. After drawing out my design I then took it into the computer to trace and turn into a 3D image, by doing this I can visualise what the real model will look like. I think it is a good design because it’s not complicated and people regularly see dispensers, however most are ignored. I think by bringing these colourful dispenser to shopping centres and sports centres it will not only attract attention to themselves but other dispensers as well. I think this design is more colourful and eye-catching than the others. I think the difference between my dispenser and other dispensers is that mine has a theme and a slightly different approach to how the lolly is dispensed, my dispenser will be consistently rotating, like an arcade game, and when you put your money in, one of the lollies falls down the heltaskelta and comes out the mouth at the bottom.

dispenser DEVELOPMENT This is the 3D drawing and the start of my despencer development. I started by using some of the items I bought for this project. I painted them white as a base colour so when I painted on my different colours they would stand out properly. I then took all my pieces and slotted them in place with eachother, then secured them using UHU glue. I made some marks on the lid for the slots and then cut them out using a craft knife. I like the outcome of my dispenser it will look well next to my final stall that I will produce to represent my confectionary brand in the end of year show. My next aim is to build my stall and get that finished my th end of next week because I only have 5 weeks left to complete this project.

PAGKAGING designs These are some design ideas for my confectionary packaging. The flags are something that I want to incorporate into a more layered and interesting design and the label will be something I can use underneath the cellophane of the rock packaging and put on to the main dispenser. I think the flags are very appropriate with my brand because of the fun fair style theme. The text is a design that I will use on my final stall to connect all my ideas and designs together.

LILLIPOP

jewellery box DEVELOPMENT This is the start of my jewellery box design, it will contain loose Lillipop sweets. I have yet to decide what design I will have on this box, but it will be very similar to the design I am going to create for my Lillipop rock. I want the two to be similar so that the fun fair theme is ongoing. I had an idea to incorporate some flags, pink flags with different striped/spotted patterns, this is keeping with the theme but also tearing away slightly from typical fun fair stripes, by doing this it is still recognisably fun fair themed because of the patterns. This jewellery box will contain a mirror as well as loose sweets, the loose sweets will be in a cellophane packet inside the bos, the mirror will be secured to the top inside of the lid.

jewellery box DEVELOPMENT

This is the start of my Lillipop jewellery box design. The Lillipop jewellery box is the use of the box once the sweets have been eaten which is part of the “no waste” packaging idea. The design for this box is simple, and being round the Lillipop face will go on the top of the box. I wanted the design of this box to keep within theme of the rest of my Lillipop products, therefore I used the pink and white stripes. This is the start of my design, I painted it white to start with to cover the wood colour, this is so that when I come to paint with the pink colours it will look brighter. For the rest of the design I used photo prints because it’s easier to keep the design looking neat and professional. The next photos are my finished jewellery box design. I am happy with the outcome however I don’t think the pain is neat enough therefore if I was to do it again I would get the whole design made on a photo print and stick it on the box.

rock box DEVELOPMENT This simple shape will be used to contain my rock pop. The cylinder tube is perfect for wrapping the rock, because it’s exactly the same shape, and I plan for the design to be identical to the design on the rock sticks. The special thing with this packaging design is that it will become a coin box once all the rock has gone and the packaging is empty. This is following my plan to make this confectionary brand different from all the others. I think the idea of having something that has no waste makes it a little more appealing to buy, and the option of having somehting more than just sweets, you get more for your money.

rock box DEVELOPMENT These are two designs for my Lillipop Rock packaging. The second design will be the one I use. I like the second design more than the first because when I printed the first one off it looked odd because there was two designs and different text facing opposite ways, so the second design I did to correct the mistake and added a bit extra. I think it looks a lot neater and it will be more appropriate for when the box is used for collecting coins. I have also made the label a bit darker pink, this is so the design doesn’t look too toned.

rock box DEVELOPMENT This is the tube I will be using to cover with my design, I found this and thought it was a better match and size to use for my project. I have bought some rock from my trip to Blackpool that I will fill this tube with, I will also make my own labels for the rock to present at the final show. The rock is pink and white which is very appropriate for my brand.

LILLIPOP

rock box DEVELOPMENT

stall development This design is for the front of my stall. I will use this to advertise and promote my final confectionary brand. I was inspired by some old token tickets I saw in the March edition of creative review. I have taken something old and made it into something new. I wanted something that didn’t involve stripes, the rest of my confectionary brand revolves around stripes and I wanted to make the theme a bit more exciting and less predictable. The rest of my stall design will have the pink and white stripes incorporated, however I think this is a nice change with still staying in the theme. I think this is an attractive design and could work well incorporated in some of my final advertising designs.

stall development This is the box I am using to create my stall which will represent my confectionary brand in my end of year show. This box will be used to support the bottom of my stall, this is where my advertisment piece will be placed. The drawing on the right is what I would like my final stall to look like. To make the roof I have a large piece of mount board which I will cut and bend for a design to be spray mounted on to. I will make the roof design in illustrator and then print it off. I have some long pieces of wood that I will cut down to make the the stall come together and stand up. They are strong enought to support the mount board because its a good steardy material. I will try and find a way to mount the Lillipop face onto the roof of my stall however I think I may find this difficult.

stall development x2 This is to show what the bow will look like fro the sides and behind, the black strip will contine around the box. I think this is appropriate so there’s not too many stripes.

This is obviously the design that will be going on the front of my stall. I like it because it breaks up the stripes, the Lillipop face is also the main attraction of the stall.

stall development I turned the box upside down and used this to cut out two compartments where I will place my two sweet boxes that will contain pink sweets to represent Lillipop loose sweets. I will also cut a hole for the Lillipop rock. I painted around the sides and the back to match the design on the front so there is a continuous design around the whole box. I like that the design is only focused on the front of the box and it’s kept simple around the sides, this makes it more professional looking. To neaten the top I will cut the same shape out of mount board so that this can be stuck This is my design printed on matt photo paper on top, this will also make the top of for the front of my box. This works as an the box stronger to hold the weight advertisement for Lillipop as well as being the decoration for my stall. I will use spray mount to of the smaller boxes and the sweets as well. stick this to the front of my box.

stall development

This is the development of my stall roof. I used the lid of the box I used to create the main part of my stall, some mount board and the pink and white striped design which I had printed onto photo paper. Firstly I stuck the striped roof design to a piece of mount board and scored it down the middle so that it would bend. I then cut the box lid so that the roof could securely stick to the lid strongly. I then painted the box lid white after realising I should have done that before I stuck the roof to it. I am happy with the outcome of my stall roof, one thing I might work on if I have time is to cover the sides of the roof so you cannot see the box lid, I think it would look a lot more professional if you couldn’t see the lid.

PAGKAGING DEVELOPMENT This is one of my water colour patterns influenced by Sasha Prood’s watercolour designs. I liked this effect and wanted to design my own in a similar style. To make this water colour pattern I brushed some water on to my paper quite thick so when I added colour the colours would bleed together, mix up and make an interesting effect. I blew on some of the water colours to help it mix better and for the colour. I think it worked really well with the colours I have chosen. It is the boldest pattern I have designed and may look too bold for my brand. I enjoyed experimenting with this though. I used the horozontal type mask tool to cut out the lettering. I love the second lillipop font, it works better than the above, however I still think I have yet to find the right font because this is not quite the right style I want. I need something more handwritten looking, a bit more flowing and chunky.

PAGKAGING DEVELOPMENT These very bold square fonts are how I first tested my patterns with. I basically used this font to test the type mask tool with as practice. I wanted to include them with my development even though I will not use them in my final piece, because I just like the way they have turned out. The top one is my favourite because the patter looks great with the block style letters. I’m not keen on the second type face with that texture because of the stroke I put on when I was trying different things in photoshop, I think because it’s such a hand made look, using watercolours, it should be left without an outline and this will make it look it’s best. The third example at the bottom of the three is also ruined with the outline, however I think that without the outline the pattern would look too clear for you to be able to read what the letters say, therefore this will not be my final font design to use as the face of my confectionary brand.

PAGKAGING DEVELOPMENT I like the effect of both of these textures. I like the colourful marble effect of the top lillipop design, to achieve this I used the watercolour brush to dab on different colours I didn’t have a really wet brush so that the colours didn’t bleed together as much and I had more control of what the pattern was going to look like. Having a dryer brush made it easier for me to even out the colours as well. I like this pattern but I don’t think it is suitable for my brand. I need one with less pattern, something that will stand out more, be bolder and more eye catching, especially against other sweet packaging on the shelves. The second design is more suitable because it’s more like a gradient of the same colour rather than mixing lots of different ones. I think for this brand it would work better however I don’t like this particular pattern because of the black at the one end of the lillipop text, it looks like a felt tip pen has run out towards the end.

PAGKAGING DEVELOPMENT These two fonts and patterns are better suited to my confectionary brand. I like the first fontbecause it’s quite unique, I like the way it has bits cut out so that it kind of looks like a shine in the letters. The texture for this font is also a better design, the colours are not too bold, nor are they too multi-cloloured. I like the colours used because they are all pink/ purple which fits my brand’s colour scheme. The second font is really nice, I like it a lot and would use it if my brand wasn’t aimed at children. It is a more sophisticated font and would be better suited with an adult product. The pattern used is my favourite of them all because it’s subtle, pink, and uniquie because of the blended watercolour. I am going to take this pattern further because I think it could work well with my brand however I have yet to find the right font to match it with.

PAGKAGING DEVELOPMENT This is something I created using lino. I used a tool to cut my shape from the lino. I originally found this font in illustrator and thought it was relevant to my designs so I printed it off and copied the image my drawing it on the lino. I then cut out of the lines I had drawn to create a stencil print. I used the piece of lino to then use as a stamp. I painted on to the lino and then printed onto some paper, I decided it might be interesting to print onto something colourful and used one of my candy bags to print on to make a more complex looking design. I like the effect of having something that hasn’t been designed on the computer, because a lot of the time something that had been hand drawn/ painted/ inked gives a better effect that you could make on the computer. Therefore I will use this piece to design something further on the computer, I will minipulate it to create some part of my advertisment for the final part of my project.

poster history

Lithographic Posters are made by a mutual repulsion of grease and water. The method involves drawing with a greasy crayon onto finely surfaced Bavarian limestone and offsetting that image onto paper. The advantage of lithography is the ability to hand draw letters, opening the field of type design to endless styles. I think posters in this style really capture your true attention because they are so bold and contrasted.

Photomontage - Various methods can be used to combine two or more photographs into a singe image several negatives (combination printing) or multiple exposures. I think the work of photomontage can be really effective in design, it can play with the truth and create something that is fictional. For my project photomontage will not be appropriate.

Large Type posters were meant to be read from a distance and therefore required large type. They are effective because obviously you can make out the design from a distance without trying to work out what it says. In theory more people will see the advert because for one it brings your attention to the bold text, and also that your mind reads things even if you are not aware. I could use this kind of design if I wanted to make a billboard.

Psychedelic Posters - With strong influences from Art Nouveau and the Vienna Secessionists, (such as shown below) Wes Wilson (b. 1937), pioneered the psychedelic rock poster genre. Intended for an audience “that was tuned in to the psychedelic experience.” He further experimented with pulsating pictures and undulating letters. I personaly dont like this style, I’m not a fan of the 60’s style either.

advertising Circus Advertising I chose to look at this design because it is one of my favourites out of all the posters I have found. I love that there is only two colours used. It’s very vintage but very in trend now. I think or my final advertisement poster I will create something of a similar style. It probably wont have a brown background because the pink wont show up on it that well, however I will experiment with brown anyway but I will also use a white background. I think on this design the blue and the brown look really good together, and the black outlines and letters bring the whole design together. If I want to create something like this I will have to come up with a way to print my letters onto the paper, because we don’t have the facilities at college to screen print. Therefore, I will have to find some large thick card and create a stencil, this will hopefully produce a similar outcome. I want to experiment with different colours and I think the first I will use is pink, with red shadow, this will make it less sophisticated and more appropriate for my target market.

advertising Circus Advertising This style of circus poster is a lot more modern than the previous one. Circus posters tend to be a bit “over the top and tacky. I think this one is defiantly tacky, but it works well because the circus is filled with bright colours and lots of photographs/ illustrations. I like the way there is a striped pattern around the central image. This is something I could try with my design by having the Lillipop face in the centre of the image. Obviously I will experiment with different layouts but it is a good way to represent my design. I want to create something that is simple, so I probably wont use photography in my piece, I want mine to be purely typographical and illustrative. I think in this design, the photography looks too bold against the yellow and the pink, there are too many dark colours in the photographs and this design would be better suited using colours like the previous design. However, circus posters are supposed to be loaded with colour and really attract your attention through colour, because circus is so colourful!

advertising Circus Posters This is like the first design I looked at. It’s printed on a brown paper, and uses little colours. I like this style because it’s simple and very vintage looking. The colours red and yellow work well with each other, because instead of having a darker colour behind the red to make it look like a shadow, the yellow has been used to highlight the red, and looks like an outer glow. I like the idea the idea of using brown paper as the background, it makes the advert look even more retro. I am going to try this idea with paint and some brown parcel paper I have at home. I want to see what effects I can get with pink and white paint. The black and white photographs do not retract your attention away from the colour. This is something I will experiment with, if it goes well I will use some of my primary imagery in my posters. however I can picture my final advertising design will be purely typographically based, includign my logo as well.

advertising Circus Posters This design is something I have seen regularly in retro and modern day circus advertising. The stripes in the background are something I will include in my adverts, I think the striped pattern is used a lot and associated regularly with circus and fun fair events. I also like the “sideshow font and the way it has been put on a banner and how this part of the design makes the rest of the picture, the other wording follows around the banner. It’s a really nice illustrative piece and I like the way the drawings are realistic but still exaggerated. I like the way there is only a few colours used, the theme of the yellow red and black makes it more eye catching than something that uses lot of different colours. I think my final advertisement will have a similar theme, using different colours but using black as the shadowed areas.

advertising This advertisement is different because of the colours, they contrast together yet look very toned, this is because the orange and blue are the main colours used and the rest of the colours are darker or lighter than the main colours. However, this is by far my favourite piece of fun fair advertisement. I don’t find it particualry eye catching because of the tone in the colours. I think if there were more colours involved in this piece then it would stand out more. I like the decorative lettering used in this piece. I think that for this type of advertisments you need very decorative lettering, because it’s such a fun event they need to represent, and it’s also very traditional, fun fairs and amusement parks have always used decorative lettering, originating from hand painted signs done on metal which are valuable today.

advertising This advertisment is very old fashioned and pop art style. I like this because it is traditional and very old fashioned. The colours are a little faded which makes this more of a true vintage looking poster. I like the small illustrations of the minature railway on the front, I need to think about what kind of poster I am going to make and draw out some potential illustrations so that I can work out whether I need them in my advertisments or not. I am trying to make a traditional yet modern looking brand, I don’t want it to be completely retro because times are moving forward and regurgitating the past will neveer make your brand different, and something that has never been seen before. I don’t like the mustard yellow in this advertisment, I think the design needs a light background however this colour is a little dull, which makes the rest of the colours in the design also look dull. My design is going to be fresh looking with bright, attractive colours and something that will catch both children and parent’s eyethe eye of children and parents make customers come and look at the product.

advertising I really like the layout of this design. I like long posters I think they are particularly interesting and different because they are not a standard size. I like the choice of colour, I think designs like this with a quite calm background colour and a bright, bold, contrasting colour for the text really capture your attention and make the contents of the text really clear. I like the way there is a mixture of lettering and illustrations, this is something I might consider in my adverts, I like these simple drawings, they are neat, not scribbled drawings which suits the design perfectly because it is quite modern. With my designs for print purposes I will be working on a standard A3/ A4 size, however once my designs have been printed I can always cut into them, I could trip the edges to make it look similar to this design.

advertising This is a picture I took in London, there was a small fair by the London Eye. All the fair ground stalls and rides were really old fashioned and classic retro fun fair designed. I particularly like this ticket cabin, the lettering on thr front that reads “all the fun of the fair is a typical retro font used in many fun fairs. I like how the designs of fun fairs have never really changed, yet they all still look interesting and appealing to the eye. My designs will be similar to this, I don’t want to copy designs that I have already seen but I want my brand to be recongnised as a fun fair/ circus themed confectionary brand. I will have similar fonts and bright colours involved in my final designs, this ticket box has given me more of an idea of how to present my final project in my end of year show in June.

TO

These are my last two advertisment posters. I like the first one with purple stripes, it’s more attractive becase it brings out the purple invoved in the type, but because the rest of my project up to now has not got this much purple involved I am not going to use this one, however if I had more time on this project I would probably consider making a few changes so that more purple was incorporated becuse I really like this design. Keeping with the theme of my project I find this the more appropriate poster design the second design with the light and dark pink stripes, it’s more fitting and means I don’t have to change my whole project designs.

advertising I found these pieces of typography on the website Typography Served.com. I really like these pieces because they have involved photography as well. Usually typography revolves around letters and illustration, so this is interestingly different. When I have taken some more primary imagery I will use my pictures to create something similar to this because I think this is a nicer, more sophisticated approach to the advertising of my confectionary brand. I am going to take my next batch of photographs at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, there are lots of interesting things I can take pictures of, like fair ground signs and fair ground rides. It’s also a very colourful place which will make my take on this a lot more appropriate and more exciting, this will represent my brand better than the dull colours used in these designs.

FURTHER DEVELOPMENT I finished this project a little early and wanted to show some diversity of my Lillipop brand. I wanted to experiment with a completely different look and had an idea of designing the sweet in a totally opposite way, I decided to make the sweet have a sour taste and promote it at a rock festival. I changed the Lillipop face to suit a sour sweet and turned the colours gothic. This has immediantly changed the look of my sweet brand and made it into something completely new. I designed two posters keeeping in theme with the new face design and kept it looking gothic and appropriate for a rock festival. I love the hands used in these posters because they are very circus themed. With these designs I wanted to keep the fair ground theme because that is the whole point in my brand, but also make it appropriate for the rock festival by choosing the red and black colours.

The Sour Taste With No Waste

Free Sour Pop With Every Ticket Purchaise

FURTHER DEVELOPMENT These are some further designs carrying on with the rock festival theme. I have designed the Lillipop Rock box carrying on with the experimental theme. I really like this design because the colours contrast well and the illustrative and text design is similar to the poster I have previously designed. I think this appeals more to an older crowd than the target market I originally planned to aim for. This is a sophisticated version of Lillipop even though it’s quite wacky. The only thing with this design I don’t like is that there are is no photography used on the packaging, I think this packaging is less attractive as being an actual sweet brand, it’s less obvious than my original work that it is a sweet package. With this design if I were to take it further I would go out and take some appropriate imagery to use on the packaging so it’s more obviuous that it is a sweet brand.

FURTHER DEVELOPMENT The Sour Taste With No Waste

The Sour Taste With No Waste

I love these two T-shirt Designs, I thought of them during the process of making my rock festival theme rock box. The idea came to me originally to just use the face on a T-Shirt design, however I then experimented with a design from one of my posters that I liked, I dragged it on top of this vest template and really liked it. This has given me a further idea to design and print some of these shirts with the original Lillipop face to include in my final show. I will also print this new face on a shirt to show my further development with this project. I think these shirt designs, especially the faces alone on the shirt are very eye catching and interesting, I think they could be very popular with fashion at the moment. They are quite similar to the Peace sign vest sold in Topshop now.

promo idea Because of my recent ideas to make a limited edition version of Lillipop I designed a T-Shirt for the promotion of the Rock Festival theme product, I thought it would be a good idea to make some T-Shirts to help promote the Lillipop sweet brand in my final show. I think that by doing this I am drawing more attention to my brand and also showing how diverse this design can be. I really like the design with the face alone, with it being a circular logo it fits well on the vest. If I had longer on this project I would have moved on to designing some Lillipop stationary. I think the design would work really well on notebooks and pencils and pencil cases.

TO

TO

Evaluation I have enjoyed this project, I started with a lot of different ideas but I knew I wanted to concentrate on something I had not covered in my class before, which was branding and packaging, I had ideas such as designing and packaging a new toy, or making a new biscuit/doughnut brand. The idea of wanting to create a new confectionary brand came from my interest in creative sweet brands such as Jelly Belly and Willy Wonka. My main focus on the brand was to make the packaging have another use after the sweets have been eaten, this idea came to me during the very early stages of my development. I liked this idea because it meant that my project could become more creative, it had a purpose and made it a more interesting product. I am happy with the outcome of this project, I enjoyed it right to the end because I kept having new ideas and developed on original designs to make them better. I was heavily influenced by some of the work I looked at by Wayne Thiebaud, I loved his colourful paintings and real fun fair style work. I have also been influenced a lot by a piece of the work designed by D. Studio “Burnt Sugar” I love how the illustrations don’t use a font anywhere on the packet, even down to the recycle logo, it’s very creative and I wanted my work to also be seen as a fun, creative idea. My final outcomes are unique and I am happy with them all. If I had more time on this project I would have expanded my variety of sweets, so there would be a bigger range of Lillipop products. If I could change anything about this project I would have liked to incorporate some photography into my designs, I think this would have made it more obvious that it is a sweet brand, however I like my illustrative designs, I think they fit well with modern creative design. Overall I have put a lot of effort into this project, I could think of a million other things to design to make the brand bigger and better, however I had two weeks out of the project working at Hallmark therefore I have put as much time and effort into it as I could to make this a good final major project. I am proud of the work I have achieved in this past few weeks and even though the project has ended I think Lillipop could still be something I could come back to in the future and work on, because I believe it could be a successful confectionary brand.
