of exploring or investigating; examination. — It can also be the investigation of unknown regions.

Cause of Exploration — Europeans left their continent was to
escape religious persecution. There were also the adventurers who were true explorers, and dedicated their lives to exploring the new world (the Americas), discovering indigent peoples, mapping the geography they discovered, and naming the new places, animals, and plant life they never had seen before. Another motivation for the leaders of the countries that financed expeditions was to accumulate more wealth and territory.

Effect of Exploration — The two most famous legends are:
St. Brendan’ s 6th century voyage from Ireland and the fable that a Welsh Prince, Madoc, reached America in the 12th century. — Portuguese voyagers sailed to the Newfoundland in the 1470s. — The Norse exploration of North America, though by far the earliest for which we have definite proof, left no permanent legacy.

Effect of Exploration — John Cabot began the European

World War 1. — The spark of the war was the assassination of the Austrian Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand by members of the Serbian terrorist group, “The Black Hand” .

could provide markets to which the conquering country could sell their manufactured goods. — Also thought it would offer up plentiful natural resources (think gems, coal, gas, etc).

the First World War, but in many ways, it actually made war less likely (doesn’ t occur that much). — Manufacturing classes were against war as it would disrupt trade.

to buy any exports and resources were thin on the ground. — Colonies were something to show off to the neighbors, the more you had the better you looked; it made their colony look bad for them since they were too poor.

Well, you will get to experience the taste of the food they ate while traveling. On their expedition, they ate sea biscuits and stew. They drank water with it as well. The sailors would take their sea biscuits and dip them into the stew.
