What is Industrialization? • It is the development of industries for the machine of industries production of goods. • Agriculture Revolution: increase of their landholding able them to cultivate larger fields.

Rail Roads • Rail Roads played a major role in America’s Industrialization. • 1st: Rail Road industrial growth gave manufacturer’s a cheap way to transport people. • 2nd: 100 to1,000 jobs for rail road workers and miners. • 3rd: Transport products.


Industrial Revolution • The Industrial Revolution began in Britain and it spread through the United States and Europe. • Industrialization began the textile industry. • The U.S remained agricultural until the Civil War ended in 1865.


Industrial Revolution Continued • The Industrial Revolution (1820-1870) was of great importance to the economic development of the U.S. • It was the production of the machine and factoring. • During the second Revolution the war between the U.S and Brittan manufacturing began to expand.


19th Century • A wide gap opened between the rich and poor during the 19th Century. • The business leaders believed the government should stay out of business and economic affairs. • The Reformers felt that the government needed to play an active role to improve conditions for the poor.


19th Century continued • Workers demanded more rights and protection. • The workers formed labor unions to increase influence.


Industrialization U.S.A • Wars changed Industrialization and expansion of the U.S and population. • They forced them to find new ways for them to get new food.


Child Labor • 5am: Children started work. • 12 noon: 40 minute lunch break. • 3pm: Kids started to get tired and adults whipped them to keep them awake. • 6pm: Kids had to eat on the run and get back to work. • 9pm: The day ended
