Wild Blue Ropes: March 2. Charleston. Come test your ninja skills on this 72-obstacle high ropes course. Complete the course at your own speed. Try out our Ninja Warrior course we have set up and see if you can set the fastest record! The $15 price (reg. price - $50) includes transportation, admission for a two-hour climb, all equipment, instruction and dinner! Leaves the Bowman quarterdeck at 6:15 p.m., returning at approximately 10 p.m. Seabrook Island Horseback Trips: March 3 & 24. Seabrook Island, S.C. Scenic horseback tour good for inexperienced and experience riders. This trip takes you through some heavily wooded areas and some marshes. This trip goes fast so sign up as soon as possible. LEARN & EARN CARNIVAL FEB. 27, 3-5:30 P.M. WEAPONS STATION February brings the annual “Military Saves” campaign. The Weapons Station Youth Programs, and the Fleet and Family Support Center are working together to teach youth ages 5-18 how to be financially responsible. Classes are every Tuesday at 4 p.m., during the month. The “finale” is the Learn & Earn Carnival on Feb. 27. The carnival is free and open to all youth. JB Charleston youth who have transferred to Charleston within the last year are invited to take a cruise out to the fort for a tour. This trip is free for Youth Programs members; $5 for non-members. Young men offered personal “Passport to Manhood” FEB. 23, 7 P.M. - 12 A.M. WEAPONS STATION Passport to Manhood is a Boys and Girls Clubs of America program that represents a targeted effort to engage young boys in discussions and activities that reinforce character, leadership and positive behavior. Each participant receives a “passport” to underscore the notion that he is on a personal journey of maturation and growth. Each of the program’s sessions use interactive activities to focus on a specific aspect of character and manhood. Also during the evening, the group will have a late-night flag football game. This is a boys-only event for ages 9-18. The guys will be fed a spaghetti and meatballs dinner during the evening. Cost to participate is $5. Prior registration is needed.
