Beach horseback rides: Nov. 2. Seabrook Island, S.C. This is a wonderful, scenic trip for riders of all levels at a slow, leisurely pace on the pristine beaches of Seabrook Island. The $45pp cost includes transportation, riding instruction, gear and guide. Trip leaves from two locations: 7:45 a.m. at the Air Base Outdoor Recreation Center and 9:15 a.m. from The Dive parking lot on the Weapons Station. Return time is approximately 3 p.m. Charleston kayaking: Nov. 2. Charleston Harbor. Come relax by kayaking the Charleston waterways, learning about its history and what inhabits the areas of the marshlands. No paddling experience needed - we will teach you all you need to know. The $30pp price includes transportation, all kayaking and safety gear, and guide. Trip departs The Dive parking lot on the Weapons Station at 9 a.m., returning around 1 p.m. Build a terrarium: Nov. 2. Weapons Station. Join the staff from Air Base Arts & Crafts for this fun program on how to build a terrarium. The program will be conducted in the Bowman Center’s Liberty Lounge. The $30pp price includes instruction and all material. Classes starts at 2 p.m. Tandem skydive: Nov. 9. Walterboro, S.C. Come jump out of a perfectly good airplane because you mom told you not to! The $120 cost includes transportation, skydive instruction, tandem instructor, all gear, jump and a time to remember! Departs from The Dive parking lot on the at 7:15 a.m., and returns at approximately 3 p.m. Kitty Hawk adventure: Nov. 16-17. Kitty Hawk, N.C. Are you looking for a weekend getaway with your friends or family? Join the Air Base Outdoor Recreation Center on a fun, exciting adventure in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The group will go to a ropes course, then fly kites and watch the sunset. Sunday morning we will go hang gliding at heights of 20 feet off the famous Jockey Ridge. The $185pp price includes overnight stay based on double occupancy, all activities and transportation. Departs The Dive parking lot on the Weapons Station at 8 a.m., returning about 3 p.m. Navitat Zipline: Nov. 23-24. Barnardsville, N.C. Join the Air Base Outdoor Rec staff on a fun zip of the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains in west central North Carolina. This is a high flying, high adrenaline trip not for the faint at heart. The $120pp price includes overnight stay in a double occupancy room, zipline fee, hikes and transportation. Departs the Air Base ORC at 8 a.m., Saturday, returning around 7 p.m., Sunday.

Some of the subjects covered are budgeting for new baby, car seat safety, and dental care for mom and baby during/post pregnancy, WIC and much more. Nov. 1, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. AB SEVEN THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT CREDIT CARDS Topics covered include building credit, credit limits, minimum payments, budgeting, “teaser” rates and the true cost of interest. Discover how to responsibly use your credit cards! Nov. 4, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. AB REINTEGRATION BRIEFING This very valuable briefing is for individuals returning from a deployment to help them reintegrate back into family life. Individuals are required to attend one of these sessions within seven days of returning to home station. Session also includes the mandatory voter information brief for all reintegrating members. All sessions held at the Air Base. Nov. 5, 12, 19 & 26, 9-10 a.m. Nov. 7 & 21 - 3-4 p.m. RESUME AND COVER LETTERS Attend this session and get the basics to write an effective resume and compelling cover letter. Nov. 5, 1-3 p.m. AB PREPPING FOR A PCS In conjunction with the Military Personnel Section, this mandatory workshop preps the attendee for orders and provides expert advice from several agencies to help with relocation. Spouses highly encouraged to attend. Nov. 5, 12, 19 & 26, 2-3:30 p.m. AB DEPLOYMENT/REMOTE TOUR PREPAREDNESS This is a unique and worthwhile session to attend to learn valuable information on how to make that next deployment or remote assignment a success for everyone. Spouses/partners are highly encouraged to attend. All sessions held at the Air Base. Nov. 5, 7, 12, 19 & 26, 3-4 p.m. Nov. 21, 9-10 a.m. NNPTC RESILIENCY TRAINING This is the first day/session of Ttrack at NNPTC

Nov. 5, 2-4 p.m. Nov. 12, 19 & 26, 12:30-4 p.m. KEY SPOUSE TRAINING This session will involve Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR), suicide prevention and domestic awareness training. Nov. 6, 9:30-11 a.m. AB INTERVIEWING FOR SUCCESS Learn about various types of interviews, receive tips and techniques for successful interviewing and how to prepare your “elevator speech”! Nov. 6, 1-3 p.m. AB MY NEW SPACE This is a mandatory session for all dorm residents after two years of service or prior to getting married and moving out. Certificates are presented after completion of the class, which are to be given to the dorm manager by the Airmen. Nov. 6, 2:30-4 p.m. AB SMOOTH MOVES This session is geared towards military and family members moving out of the local area. In partnership with supporting base agencies, this workshop provides information and resources on what to expect through your move. Attendees will learn how to initiate the movement of their household goods, entitlements and how to access resources at the gaining installation. Nov. 7, 9-11:30 a.m. WS NAVIGATING FEDERAL EMPLOYMENT Join this workshop and learn how to navigate the USA JOBS website and get your federal job! Nov. 8, 1-3 p.m. WS ENTREPRENEUR TRAINING TRACK This two-day course is an additional TAP workshop for those interested in learning more about the opportunities and challenges of business ownership. It is led by subject matter experts and practitioners from the Small Business Administration. Upon completion, participants are eligible for an eight-week, instructor-led on-line course. Nov. 14, 2:30-3:30 p.m. WS LINKEDIN WORKSHOP This is an extremely educational, free workshop on developing a comprehensive LinkedIn profile and how to effectively utilize all of the available LinkedIn tools. If you already have a LinkedIn page, this session is a must for you to attend to learn all of the industry secrets to building a more dynamic LinkedIn profile. Nov. 18, 10-11:30 a.m. AB BE RESUME READY! Stop by anytime and learn how to build an effective civilian resume or have an existing resume reviewed to ensure your “resume ready!” Nov. 19, 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. AB 4-2-GO & I’M OUTTA HERE This three-hour workshop is for service members and their spouses with approximately four years until military separation or retirement to help them start preparing now for transition to civilian life. Nov. 19, 8-11 a.m. AB MY NEW SPACE This is a mandatory session for all dorm residents after two years of service or prior to getting married and moving out. Need an extra hand? We can help you with your busy schedule by providing hourly child care for children ages 12 months to 5 years old at the Air Base Child Development Center. Youth classes are now underway at the Air Base for Jiu Jitsu. This is a basic, fundamental mixed martial arts class that teaches discipline and helps build confidence. All sessions are taught by a rated instructor. These are co-ed classes open to ages 7 and up. Sessions are conducted Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Cost is $60 a month per child. All youth must have a sports physical and immunization record with a current flu shot on file before starting classes. Call (843) 963-5684 for more information.
