Barrier Island Safari March 15 This a wonderful, scenic boat safari to the barrier island of Bulls Bay off the coast of Charleston. We’ll travel the intercoastal waterway to our destination and take in the beauty of Lowcountry tidal marshes and possibly get to travel with the dolphins. At Bulls Bay, you can hike the beach, go shell hunting or just catch some rays. Fantastic photo opportunities during this trip. Cost: R4R, $20; regular price, $75. With a limited amount of spaces available, advance reservations are a must. If enough interest warrants, we will schedule this trip again in the coming months. Boaters must attend class before renting

These one-hour orientation classes on March 7 and March 21 are required in order to checkout motor-driven ORC boats. Advance class registration required. Cost is $5. Before attending class, boater must take and pass a free on-line boater safety course at www.boatus.org. Call the Air Base ORC after testing to schedule an orientation class.

Saturday, April 29 Here’s a super opportunity to turn your spring cleaning trash into cash. This base-wide yard sale is at the Air Base Picnic Grounds, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., rain or shine. College of Charleston campus tour April 12

Air Base Youth Programs is heading off to college... but just for a day. All 9-12th grade high school students are invited to join the staff as they take prospective Cougars on a campus tour April 12 and meet with the admissions office. Spring break sign-ups now open

Registration for Spring Break camp at the Air Base and Weapons Station is now underway. The camps are in-session April 10-14. These full-day camps are open to youth ages 5 (kindergarten) through 12.
