West Kentucky Stars Coaches Daniel Potts Head Coach
Coach Daniel Potts is starting his third year of coaching the West Kentucky Stars. The last two seasons as head coach, Potts has led the Stars to a remarkable 44-12 record, winning the WKCTC Invitational both years. He came to WKCTC from Lindsey Wilson College where he was an assistant coach. He helped Lindsey Wilson reach number 12 on the national ranking polls. Potts graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and is currently working to obtain a master’s degree in athletic coaching. “This year’s team has a chance to be very special. We have the leadership, work ethic, heart, and size to have a great season and turn some heads on campus and in the community.”

Dennis Gourley
Josh Kimbler
Coach Dennis Gourley is beginning his ninth year with the Stars. He has been the steady hand that has kept the team moving. He was a standout guard at this College and also at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee. He is well-known as a head basketball coach at various local high schools. We are thankful that he is back with us for our ninth season.
Coach Josh Kimbler is entering his first year as an assistant at the collegiate level. After multiple combat deployments to the Middle East, this United States Army veteran is currently finishing up his last year at WKCTC. He plans on achieving a master’s degree in athletic management and coaching; and hopes to one day be a head coach at the Division 1 level.
