There are plenty of walking and cycling routes including over 4 miles of woodland walks and the canal towpath, which offers an easy, flat route all the way to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Come and experience the World’s first and only rotating boat lift, The Falkirk Wheel. Apart from seeing the awe inspiring 35 metre high structure with your own eyes, there are plenty of activities on offer to keep you busy all day! The Falkirk Wheel acts as the gateway to Scotland’s Lowland canal network and is the place where the Forth & Clyde Canal meets the Union Canal.

Directions By train and bus:
The Falkirk Wheel is close to either Falkirk Grahamston or Falkirk High Station. First bus No.3 Red Line runs every 15 minutes to and from the site. Please note there is a limited bus service on Sundays.

Parking There are two car parks at The Falkirk Wheel – North and South. Visitors with walking difficulties and disabilities should go to the South car park. There is a 5-10 minute walk along the side of the canal from the North car park to the site.
